Life happens!  I have not felt left out in the least.  Take care of you, have fun crafting, and I should be sending soon!

Well, I'm finally able to check in. Sorry I have been MIA for so long I have just had SOOOO much stuff going on in my personal life. But despite everything I have still been crafting. I really don't know what I would do if I didn't have crafting goals to meet. My art work and crafts have kept my mind on track and my hands busy. I just want to say sorry to my partner. I feel like a bad swapper since I haven't been in the forums or communicating much. I just havn't had it in me. So long story short, I will try and stay in communication the rest of the swap but I may not be on everyday. Thanks to everyone for being so understanding.

Whenever asked how I want to ship (and I now have my husband trained to do the same) "Whatever is the cheapest!"

It seems to work!

On the very rare occasion I ask husband to go to the PO, he overpays too.  I used to be really annoyed about this, but I think I've figured out why it happens now.  Postal employees, at least all the ones here, are required to offer you the fastest (and therefore most expensive) shipping option first.  They even ask it in such a way as to lead you to want to say yes.  Jim, who hates dealing with people, always says yes to whatever it is that they are offering without checking out any other options.

I usually ship things First Class Mail, instead of Priority.  (Unless I'm using one of those wonderful flat-rate boxes!)  First Class and Priority are the same delivery time (1-3 days), but Priority starts at $4.95 and First class starts at .44 cents!  I also always make sure to go into the post office for my smaller shipments.  If I'm doing flat-rate I love using the Automated Postal Center in the lobby, but as it only ships Priority & Express it costs more to mail out small things like the bubble mailers I use when shipping Etsy orders.  I mailed a tiny bubble mailer full of a single pair of earrings there for $4.95 once, and the same pair of earrings in the same envelope for $1.25 when I went inside and used First Class Mail.

AAARRRGGGHHH!!!  I WANNA BUTTER BEER NOW!!!!   Cheesy

Ok.  So because I'm a cheapskate... well my husband and I both are, but the first time I went to the park we figured this out. My husband did not want to go (day after WWoHP opened) so he dropped me off! Since you are so close, instead of paying for parking, you can have someone drive with you and drop you off at the taxi/bus pick up area.  Then head into the CityWalk area and go to the park store there and get them to remove it.  Then head back to your waiting car and voila!  No parking payment!

And I seem to remember something about 1/2 hour free at the valet stand, which is even closer then the taxi drop off area.  I'm sure if you explained to them what's going on they would have no problem with your car there for a hot minute.

@technogoddess:  Ummmm Butterbeer! Its sooooo goood! I love the butterscotch topping! Thats my favorite part! Cheesy

@SKooKuM:  I didn't want to risk the ink exploding.  We thought about looking up youtube videos also, but still, I don't want to risk ruining my scarf.  Sad

But then you don't get to have BUTTER BEER!!!!  I think I could live on a diet of Butter Beer alone.  mmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Hopefully you don't live too far away, maybe you can take it with the receipt to one of the gift stores outside the gates and they'll take the tag off Sad

I live an hour and a half away. Sad  Plus they charge $15 to park before you hit the gates.  I called their merch center and the best option is to have FedEx pick it up and send it back to universal for tag removal. Who knows when I'll get it back though.  I just hope they don't snag my scarf in the process.

technogoddess, that is amazing.  Is he made of wood?

I made a wire armature and covered the hands, feet and head in sculpey.  The rest is stuffing to fill out the clothing over the armature.

I'm glad you all like it!
