I really enjoyed making this hat, and I've already received a request from a friend to make one for him. Huzzah!

I used Patons Classic Wool medium weight yarn (205m, 100g) in Peacock.  I used size 10 1/2 double-pointed needles (I went without the circular ones, and it worked out fine). Though I did have to add one more repeat to the cable pattern to get it to fit my (large-ish) head. The whole thing came together quickly over two evenings.  And the pattern was clear, and I didn't have any difficulty at all. I can't wait to make more of these!!!


I can't wait for fall so that I can wear it all the time!

I made a quickie dishcloth over the last couple of evenings.



Basically, I wanted something that was quick and fun, with a bit of variety to keep me interested. This totally fit the bill.


I got the patter from one of those "knit a project every day" calendars. The pattern comes from www.sugarncream.com.  It was super easy to follow.


The yarn is from a thrifted sweater I got years ago. It's red cotton, and works well for a dishcloth.


I TOTALLY need cuter stitch markers!!!

This is the jewelry that Lindyv321 made for me. I love them all. The domino bracelet is GOLD!!!

And the best part is that before this swap, I was feeling pretty blah about crafting in general. I hadn't done much of anything crafty in weeks. But now, I'm so energized to start on jewelry making!!! And I absolutely have Lindyv321 and this swap to thank for that!! Yay for Craftster.

I tried my hand at making a cycling cap. I followed the tutorial from a recent Threadbanger episode. It was actually quite simple, and I knocked it out in just over an hour.
