And in this corner we have ninjas.
And in this corner we have summa piggies.  The event will be officiated be crochetville's peggytoes seal.
Looks like ninja might be in trouble as audience watches.
Summa is going for a dive, but looks like kristies turtle from crochetville is checking it out.
Looks like piggy might be in trouble now.  Now crochetville pig coming to check it out
I think bird wants the ref to stop the fight.  Not sure how it will end.
Ok, I'm thru, my son was home with plink eye and I promised him we would do this thanks for your patience.  It was fun though

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crinoline Lady on: April 30, 2008 11:01:40 AM
This was my first thread project and I did not read the fine print.  This lady is 21' long and about 20' tall and I didn't notice that when I bought the pattern.  Ha!  Anyway, excusse the shiney spots, cuz that is the stiffener that I haven't knocked off yet.  She's going on my bedroom wall.  Thanks for looking.
4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / From knit to crochet-Possum Love on: April 22, 2008 04:41:59 PM

I contacted the woman who originally made this pattern in knit form, and asked her if I could post the crocheted version that I converted.  She said ok. It was awesome of her to let me.   So here it is.  I hope you like it and pm me with any issues.  This is a first for me, so forgive any shortcomings.  Her link to her original pattern is here under rupetur.http://rupestur.livejournal.com/15177.html#cutid1

Finish off if you do NOT want fingers.

If you want fingers dont finish off and continue.

Continue where you are, ch 4, sl st in 2nd and 3rd ch from hook, (ch 3, sl st in 2nd and 3rd ch. From hook) twice, draw up a loop in the end of each of first two fingers made, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook, sl st in next sc on arm.

Finish off-sew top closed.

Ears (make 2)

This is how I do ears like this.  The knit pattern ears do not look the same when converted to crochet.

Magic ring 5 or ch 2 and 5 sc in 2nd chain from hook, turn

Row 2:   (yes, these are rows)   ch 1, 2 sc in 1st st, sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in last st, sl st in same st. (this helps to add curve to ear).

Finish off leaving 2 inch tail.  Now, the 2 strands should be close to eachother, so tie these together tight twice, (this helps cup the ear).

Tail  (almost done, yay!)

Magic ring 6, or ch 2 and 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.

Continue rounds of 6 til you have the length you like.  If you want the tail to taper off, then just decrease to 4 sts  for last few rounds.  After you are satisfied with the length, ch 4 and sl st to first ch.  This is so you can hang your possum upside down if you like.  Enjoy!!!

Assemble as in picture.

Well, I was very inspired by babbetto, who's work is awesome.  This is my first attempt and it is not complete obviously, but I was just wondering if I am on the right track?  It seems like it looks much better in my head.  Ha.  I don't mind criticism, it's how you learn.  Thanks
