That wreath is so fun! I love the "boo" bunting on the tin, too!
OMG, I missed that teaser, HotBananaPepper -but it's okay because now I have the actual AWESOME item!! Grin
I'll post pictures tomorrow when the light can do it justice. In the meantime here's a teaser for you (and yes, it's all from one thing -just tiny snippets)...

Yay, I'm so glad everything made it to you! I had a lot of fun coming up with things, the recycled aspect was quite inspiring once I started looking through my stash of bits and bobs. Hope you get some good use out of everything!

And now it's my turn!
Unlike Wendy I didn't know the package would arrive yesterday, so it was a gleeful surprise when I returned from a long exhausting -and ultimately fruitless- day of shopping with my aunts (my aunts LOVE shopping, I do not Tongue). So finding a big box waiting in my driveway was such a pick-me-up!

And yaaaaaaaaay, I love my items! First up is an adorable wind-chime decorated with with a cute white bird on top and some fabulously patterned bamboo below -seriously, I love all the different patterns! I have a chicken and a duck windchime by my chicken coop so this will fit right in!

And the best thing ever -a garden chandelier! I love, love, LOVE candelight and Wendy delivered the one item I was especially hoping to get; it's wonderful! I put it over the picnic table on the deck where it will cast a magical glow in the evenings...

So pretty!!!

I love the items you crafted Wendy; thank you, thank you, thank you so much for a fun swap!

(And you may have noticed a few of the glasses are missing, I'm afraid they didn't survive the shipping -but I did save all the gorgeous beads! I actually have some glasses that I think will fit in perfectly -just need to dig them out of my garage stash- so no worries, it all adds to the recycled decor theme!)

14  Re: I really need a friggin' crown (or other lofty headwear) swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by mlheran on: June 24, 2011 08:36:10 AM
Yay, I'm so glad you liked your crown najaorama! It's made from some pretty random things (and about three pounds of hot glue), but when I came across that battery operated string of led lights in my rambling materials stash I said, "Oh yeah, that's GOTTA go in the crown!" Grin

And najaorama made me a totally awesome crown too! Check it out perched on my head...

...and without my head, to better enjoy it's glamorous details! I love the pleated lace with the purple ribbon behind it, and that upper fabric with the black sequins is so neat -it feels almost like it's wired and sculptable!

Here's the crown with a fabulous extra -a jeweled and beribboned hairclip!

Close-up of the hairclip; the same aurora borealis crystals as the crown, but on a "flower" of wonderful gauzy black material with long ribbons of the black material and the purple silk. So pretty!

I love them both najaorama, thanks so much for a fun swap!!

I'm hopping up and down waiting for my husband to get home (he's on his way!) so I can drive to the PO! Thank you again for the extension, I'll pm the dc number as soon as I get home. In the time being here's a little teaser for najaorama... Grin

16  Re: Show me your Christmsa tree! in Winter Holidays by mlheran on: December 10, 2009 10:12:37 AM
Lovely trees everyone! I especially love the small ones and the white ones. Grin

My husband and I live in a smaller old house and have two dogs and a cat, so a full-size easily-eaten tree is out of the question. Thankfully, we have a bookshelf in the living room that none of the pets can reach, and is just big enough for the Nativity and the new fiber optic tree (got it last year in after-Christmas sales for 99¢!). However, the gold base is one I found at Goodwill a week ago, and it has a prettier color pattern than the silver base the tree came with.

It's shiny, it's colorful, and I LOVE IT! Grin

17  Re: The Prisoner Swap- Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by mlheran on: October 10, 2009 11:14:41 PM
First a preface: I am without my good camera for the moment so I'll have to use these webcam pics that do the items NO justice! Embarrassed

Amigurl55 was an awesome crafter who managed to craft all my items AND get them in the mail before the deadline -a round of happy Villager applause please! Grin As you may or may not know, my family is going through a difficult time at the moment but this swap was a great way to have a bit of fun, and as you might expect I was really looking forward to receiving a package in the mail. And WOW, amigurl55 totally delivered!! Check out the goods...

A fabulous (yet still subtle in it's own way) Prisoner pennyfarthing bicycle necklace -love the coppery tones!

And then there's the awesome no.2 pin! (Leo McKern is my favorite no.2 Grin ) And here you also get a glimpse of the most AMAZING ITEM EVER, no.2's scarf!!! The one Prisoner item I've always wanted but never knew how to craft for myself, and here she went and made one for me!!  Grin Kiss Grin

OMG, the package -and the whole swap- has been such a great bit of fun, I can't thank you all enough!!

Now how best to break that pesky no.6... by hook or by crook, I will!

If I'm able to get my camera back in the next week I'll post much better pics!! And if you have any amigurl55, please feel free to post them! Many, MANY thanks again!!

Be seeing you! Wink

The zombie camouflage kit looks cool, I think we need an action shot of those records! Cheesy

Because you asked (and because I couldn't resist it before sending them out)! Grin

I'm so glad everything reached you safely, I hope you enjoy it!

Close-up of the flower button...

Alrighty, I was a bit delayed, but here are the pics of all the wonderful items dbear crafted for me! Grin

First up, a shot of the complete spread...

A close-up of the desk kit with Shaun's important notes to himself, and a plaque encapsulating Brian's artistic range...

A pair of much-needed fingerless gloves, Daisy-style, and some great personalized stationery...

AND a pair of "you've got red on you" fingerless gloves!

A cute little Twist-style pouch with some fun magnets, and a dish cloth that I think I'll use as a Rough Ramblers wash cloth. Grin

And the piece de resistance: my Rough Ramblers rejection letter and consolatory beanie and scarf set!

A close-up of the letter because it's totally a slice of fried gold...

WOO-HOO! You totally spoiled me (and made my day), dbear, thank you SO MUCH!!

Mike approves too! Grin
