3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Patchwork Fur Scrap Pillow on: August 19, 2014 09:38:54 AM
Wow! That is an awesome pillow. My nephews are native american and we go to pow wows quite often. The babies love to drum and dance. I danced with my nephew a few months back for the childrens dance. He was being shy and wouldn't go out with the other kids, not even with mom. I coaxed him out and all the little ones got a cash award for dancing. Mom even made their costumes. Anyway, to make a short story long, I bought a fox tail at the event. I felt every single fur that they had. I am all for fighting for animal rights but at the same time, I love leather, and fur. It took me years to buy that one tail. Going back and forth with guilt and desire. In the end I decided only to purchase from Native Americans because I feel they have more respect for the environment and would be more likely to use all of the animal for various purposes than just killing because they can.
