1  Re: Magic Yarn Ball Round 14 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by arwena on: December 10, 2010 08:22:40 PM
Since it's a slow night I am posting pics of what I sent to froggmama since she has received:

I sent two skeins of berocco's "vintage wool" yarn in a bright pink and two skeins of pink and gray lace weight yarn. I made a pendant and a soldered Christmas ornament and a decorated frog jar full of mints. The other stuff is a notepad, reindeer mint tin, several handmade ornaments, chocolate, a hairpin lace shawl pattern, two foodie erasers, hot chocolate, and a frog rubber stamp. Here is a close up of the pendant:

Hope you like everything froggmama!

2  Re: Magic Yarn Ball Round 14 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by arwena on: December 10, 2010 07:57:29 PM
I am finally posting my yarn ball from froggmama:

The first pic shows froggy stickers, a grow-a-frog toy, green wool yarn, a crocheted frog, manicure set, hand-written instructions for learning crochet (they are kind of hidden) and a crochet book with tons of cute patterns.

This photo shows the roving she sent me to spin, a notepad, playing cards, crochet chapstick case, magic towel, kleenex holder, ribbon, crocheted decorations and a clever little jewelry holder (at least that's what I think it is!)

There were also two balls of cotton yarn - one green and one white. I don't know how I left them out of the picture.

Thanks for everything froggmama!

4  Can anyone help me ID this wheel? in Spinning: Discussion and Questions by arwena on: November 21, 2009 08:59:02 PM
This is probably an easy question for the experts, but I just got into spinning and my mother-in-law gave me her wheel. It was made by the Hutterites, but thats all I know and I would like to learn how to use it, but I need to know more about it in order to find instructions. Thanks for any help anyone can offer!

9  Re: Handspun & Handcraft Swap Round 4 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by arwena on: June 10, 2008 09:02:39 AM
At last I am finally posting pictures of what astormorray sent.  I am usually more on the ball about this, especially when the loot is so spectacular!  She sent me two skeins of shiny green yarn (my favorite color), a bag of superwash merino, not one, but TWO drop spindles she made and the motherload of all fiber samples.  There are 16 baggies full of fiber!  There are also complete spinning instructions included. As you can see from the pics she is quite talented.

Thank you so much Amy, this has been one of the best swaps ever!  Your package is on its way today!

I have been a bad craftster, sorry to liebschien and timid_gothica for taking so long to post pics.  First of all, liebschien sent me some hand dyed roving and hand dyed and hand spun yarn in some rockin colors:

I <3 handspun so that made my day, thanks leibschien!

Timid_gothica sent me a set of yummy cookie scented candles, some bottle caps and a red sarong to wear on the beach in June.  Thanks so much timid_gothica!

PS - I didn't see your post hngoodlett about pics until today, so here is a pic I took before I sent.  Glad you liked everything!
