11  3 Pretty Dishcloths in Knitting: Completed Projects by Salihan on: December 20, 2007 06:09:12 PM
I've recently discovered the joy of dishcloths. I've made 3 so far- 1 with cotton twine and another 2 with 8ply acrylic yarn. I find that both works good for washing dishes but I prefer scrubbing with the one made from cotton twine.

1. Berry Basket Dishcloth, knit using cotton twine.

13  (Miss) Bubby from Knitty in Knitting: Completed Projects by Salihan on: November 29, 2007 06:21:05 PM
I made Miss Bubby for my cousin's baby daughter, Sofea. I couldn't resist adding a special dress and a pretty bow to the original pattern. I think she looks very puurrtyyy.

Pattern for dress and pink bow is my own. Anyone interested?

And just a picture of one of my cats. I think she is trying to tell me to knit a bed for her!

Only on Craftster... Grin I love it.

My friend Teresa (buttnakedbaby.blogspot.com) recommended the Santa Helmet to Craftzine and they featured it!!!

And I thought of sharing my first attempt to making the Santa Helmet  Tongue Let's just say, I learnt a lot from making it and that I'm happy the second attempt was MUCH better!

15  Santa Helmet Ho Ho Ho! - Updated Pattern Link 24/12/07 in Knitting: Completed Projects by Salihan on: November 24, 2007 02:43:45 PM
This is my most satisfying knit I've made so far. I didn't have a pattern to work from and I only had the helmet for 2 days to work with. It turned out very good and James, my bro-in-law, loves it! We were all cracking up cos he looked like he had an enormous head!  Grin

Every year, he goes on Xmas charity runs with other bikies to distribute toys to sick children. I think he is going to get a lot of attention this year!

I've made this hat as tightly fitting to the helmet as possible and I've added non-slip rubber backing along the rim and the beard. He will be adding velcro to the helmet to make sure it doesn't slide off when he rides. Safety first!

16  2007 Knitted Projects (first post ever!) - Scarf, Bags, Guitar Strap, etc in Knitting: Completed Projects by Salihan on: November 09, 2007 05:33:35 PM
This is my first post on Crafster. I'm not sure how to put photos up as they are on Flickr so I've just post links to them.  Embarrassed Sorry about that.

Anyway, I taught myself knitting 2-3 years ago and only this year did I really get into it cos I've discovered Knittinghelp.com. Absolutely loving it and bordering on obsession!  Grin Here are the projects I've made this year:
