These look sooooo cute! I so wanna pair. My feet are always cold. Even in the summer...in FL. Off I go....to make my own.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: One Skein wonders book on: October 28, 2007 07:39:18 AM
I have this book. I made the felted bowls, the toddler sweater, the felted purce, baby hat, the socks which were really comfy and easy to make and I can't remember what else....but I really like the book. I have a whole shelf dedicated to knitting pattern books and this book by far is the one I seem to use the most. I would suggest getting it, I love it.

They look wonderful! I was not so ambitious with my first projects. I have that book and now I have to go check it out again!

I bought 4 skeins and used a little more than 2 1/2 skeins.  I used size 9 needles cause I don't have any 8 that I like. My gauge was off ( a little too big) but I don't think it matters that much. And then I lost track of how many straight repeats so I just went until I thought it was long enough. That might be why I used much less than I thought I would.  Smiley But it acutally measures larger than the pattern.  I dont know why....

I've considered moving...I also think my comfortable body temp is now permanently adjusted to being just a little too warm for the sake of knitting...hooray deodorant!!!

I used to... Grin But I took the prescribed pattern and yarn and this is what I have now:

I started it about 2 weeks ago and could not put it down. It made with malabrigo worsted pinot and it is so soft and cuddly. I love it and even though its only been in the seventies here in FL I still wear it in the AM and anytime I think I might be chilly. I love it!

Me too!  I am tempted to turn it into an adult blankie and carry it with me everywhere. Its sooooo soft and I wanna curl up with it and fall asleep.  Cheesy
