31  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Tea Towels from Swap & Andrea Zuill Monster on: May 14, 2009 02:02:52 AM
These are awesome!  I LOVE the chicken and rice one!
32  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Re: Darling Dachshund Embroidered Lunch Bag on: May 01, 2009 02:36:15 PM
Thanks, Thrynity, the bag was a real pain!! It has a thick insulation lining plus to make it even more complicated it had a mesh pocket on the inside of the side I was determined to work on.  At first I thought poking through the lining was going to end bad, but since I just throw my bag in the fridge at work it doesn't really matter.  And I did stem stitch (I think that's what it's called?) as much as possible where I could work from the front and not deal with the lining/pocket thing.

And after spending a full day of watching videos teaching you the french knot, and trying EVERYTHING everybody suggests, and about a zillion pulled through attempts later NO MORE!  Beads look just as nice  Smiley
33  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Darling Dachshund Embroidered Lunch Bag on: May 01, 2009 03:53:29 AM
I did this as my first embroidery project. I've done cross stitching before but I learned a lot on this!  It's Sublime Stitching Darling Dachshund pattern.  I can't do french knots so I used beads instead.  The lunch bag is from The Container Store if anyone is wondering

The transfer went a little wonky on this bit, it kindof moved under the iron.  Oh well  Smiley

What do you think?  Comments and criticism appreciated.  Thanks for looking!
34  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Re: I don't want any more menus crammed into my door!! on: April 25, 2009 02:23:38 PM
Unwelcoming or not, I've been thinking about making one of these for my own house.  I'm so sick of the lawn care/electricians/plumbers/pizza stuff hanging stuff on my door!

I love the font you used too.

36  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help! My dachshund licks my couch on: April 13, 2009 02:47:44 AM
Ahh!  I have two dachshunds that do this too!  The male does it more, there is always wet spots on our new couch because of him.  I was thinking about taking off the covers that are on the cushions now (I think ours zip off) and making a simple slip cover for them that I can wash.  Good luck!
37  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: My new home. Just the areas done. <3 on: April 12, 2009 07:28:00 AM
I LOVE the pictures in the hallway!  I'm thinking of doing the same thing in my home.

39  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Finally organized. Not really decorating, just organized! on: April 09, 2009 09:54:30 PM

40  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: LGBT Market Bag on: April 09, 2009 03:22:10 PM
I love this.  I would never think to put perler beads on a bag, either.  I used to have a "love just is" bumper sticker  Smiley
