The Pattern is called 'rings in hexagon motifs" by Ann Halliday. However, I made mine into squares, for time sake.

it took about 1/2 yard total I think, but it's pretty tight. I wanted it to be full.

Thanks everyone! Yeah, this is my first project- a girl at work has been teaching me how to crochet in her van during our lunch hour. I am hooked now!

I saw the post here http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=253475.0 and was inspired to make my own.
I LOVE Halloween, and have a ton of spooky fabric. So.....I made this:










I reallllllly like it! I have some skull fabric I am going to use too. Christmas ones will also be in my future. Yay for Craftster, wire hangers, and fabric!

I painted the canvas with acrylic paint and let that dry. Meanwhile, I got a bunch of scrap fabric (chocolate lollipop by Anna Maria Horner) and cut strips...sewed them together , and trimmed it evenly to make the "thread". After that, I sewed on the 2 brown strips and pressed it. Then I sprayed it with craft adhesive and put it on the dried paint. I'm going to go over it with some modge podge to seal it, but I'm out.

Just a little something I put together tonight. IT was pretty fun. I'm going to make a matching one, but with scissors for the shape.
