1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Ity, Bity, Mini Winter Quilt on: September 01, 2009 06:08:30 PM
I'm mailing this little quilt off tomorrow as a giveaway prize, but I thought I'd show it off one last time before it's out of my hands forever. Cheesy

It's a little mini quilt I put together with machine applique and stitching ( I designed it and digitized it, so it wasn't totally cheating Cheesy).

It's really tiny - Perfect for Barbie.

Thanks for looking,

Jen Baer

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My first embroidered purse on: June 19, 2008 03:47:34 PM
This is my first purse project.

I bought a green skirt at the Salvation Army and turned it into a purse by cutting off some of the length and sewing the base together. I used the length that I trimmed for the strap.

I bought some really pretty Amy Butler fabric to line it and embelish it. I then doodled some vines and flowers (that kind of went with the fabric) onto the base of the purse. I matched the floss colors to the fabric and stitched away.

I hope you like it. Cheesy

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Stitch Queen :D on: June 13, 2008 07:26:00 PM
OK, I'm a little nervous posting this. It's a bit presumptuous, I know, but let me explain before I get myself in trouble.

I teach a little embroidery class in our small town, and I needed to make something that would designate me as the teacher.. sooo I deemed my self the "stitch queen" LOL.  I am by no means the BEST, but I like to stitch a whole lot... so here she is my stitch queen with the pin cushion hair, and funny face.
I hope you like how she turned out. Cheesy

4  COOKING / Dessert / 3 year old birthday cake on: April 03, 2008 12:26:06 PM
This is my dilemma... I have made it a tradition to make homemade birthday cakes for my sons birthday. The first year I made a bear and it turned out great. The second year I made a race car and it turned out great. This year I am absolutely stumped as to what I should make him.

He's into so many things right now I really don't have one solid plan for a theme. Arghh!

Here's pics of his first two cakes.

Any ideas?

5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Newsletters? on: March 26, 2008 09:03:06 AM
So I'm thinking of starting a monthly newsletter, but I don't know who to go through. I used to use Bravenet free service for emarketing, but I think I'm ready for a full service package now.

Who do you use for your email lists?

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Do you like the site? Do you like the product? on: March 22, 2008 06:40:57 AM

OK, I've been around for a while now, but never had the guts to go for the critique. So here it goes.

Tell me what you think. I built the website myself. It's a lot of images but I don't have that SEO thing completely down yet.  Undecided   Let me know if it's user friendly.

I don't have a ton of products yet, but it's growing slowly. Do you like the collection set up?

Biting my nails waiting for your answer -LOL,
