1  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Selling items from sublime patterns on: September 30, 2008 10:45:26 AM
Just a question...I don't think it's been asked before, and I hope it hasn't...But I've noticed that a lot of people are selling items that they've embroidered using SUblime Stitching patterns. Is that acceptable and legal? Or does EVERY single one of these sellers have a license agreement? Because I notice that many of them aren't listed on the sublime site. Just wondering..Just my journalism mind trying to know everything! lol

3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / T-SHIRT QUILT SWAP! on: June 26, 2008 11:57:43 AM
Soo...I've been saying that I want to make another t-shirt quilt for FOREVER. But I'm collecting shirt's waaay too slowly. So I thought a swap of this type would be in order. I'm open to suggestions on how the actual swap should go. Should we send shirts to each other? Should we send out 5 shirts and get five in return? Or maybe we could post different shirts and claim the ones we want? I'm not sure..,but I'm all for help.

Are there some things that you can't live without in life? Is Aleene's Tacky glue the ONLY glue you'll put on a project? Do you fall on the floor and throw a tantrum when your brand of yarn isn't at Hobby Lobby? Or maybe you prefer a certain lip gloss, or you only eat 2 types of candy. This is all about your favorite things.

Participants will be required to craft 2 items (mediums, smalls, or one of each)  related to things that you MUST HAVE while crafting.

Along with the crafted items, you will send the following: Items that you absolutely love and would like to share with your partner. You will also add at least ONE of your partner's favorite things. It's important that you are brand/type specific. Spoil each other rotten if you like, or you can have specific limits. Feel free to discuss that with your partner. Also, you will be required to check in weekly with your organizer.

For intance I'd send my partner things like this: M.A.C. lip gloss, cocoa butter lip balm, chewy sweet tarts, lustre Mod Podge, Michael Henry fabric, Glue remover extreme,  etc.  Get the drift?

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Super cute painted glass plates on: May 22, 2008 08:44:32 PM
I made these for my swap partner. She has a beautiful addiction to cameras. These were super easy and now everyone wants a set with different designs! I'd like to add that you can totally use them to put your cheesecake and cookies on..and you can WASH them! I wish it was all my idea, but it's not. They're still awesome though! So...like to see em? Here they go...
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / MY FAVORITE THINGS SWAP! on: May 21, 2008 04:14:34 PM
Soo..I've got a few foods/products/ideas that I am a DIE HARD fanatic about! Tons of things I can't live without. I also like converting people over to the things that I like. Sooo how about a swap package that contains your favorite snacks, craft products, makeup, organization tips, music, etc? I think this would be awesome..and I'm willing to organize!

Whadya say?

8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / What do you keep your money in..and other fair-like questions on: May 13, 2008 10:42:17 AM
So Pinky Damone has decided to take her crafts GLOBAL baby! Well..umm..maybe not yet. First I'm gonna start with a watermelon festival in august in arkansas, then another festival in my area in October...SO I've got a few questions...This is my first time, and I"m scouring the boards, but I still have questions.

What do you keep your money in? (I've heard money boxes, etc were a BAAAD idea!)

How much merchandise should I make?

I know I want to make a lot of stickers, flyers, busniess cards, etc. But I'm trying to to find the most economical way? Where should I go..(The local places are SUPER expensive!) Where do you guys get yours from? What do you use? Does anyone here do that..or design logos, etc?

Any more advice is greatly appreciated!
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Baby Diaper Wreath on: April 24, 2008 07:47:42 PM
So I've seen these around, and I, like yourself, am WAAAYYY too crafty to pay for something I can figure out by myself. So after a few trips to the dollar store, wal-mart and Michael's...I have a DIAPER WREATH. I'm throwing my cousin a baby shower Saturday, so let's hope she likes it! I love it...Waddya think?

10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Knit or Die embroidered tote on: April 21, 2008 03:56:30 PM
I made this for my swap partner Cheebs. This was my first attempt at completeing an embroidered project. So I took a wack at it, and then I attached it to a tote. I'd also like to mention that I'm extremely kawaii/hello kitty/i love pink chic, so the skulls were a stretch for me! I'd like to think of this as a milestone in my crafting career...I'd like to thank the academy..lol...here it goes folks!
