I've made a strap, for a friend's mandolin case. The problem is, there isn't anything on the case to attach a strap to. It's just a smooth case surface. I'm thinking of attaching some sort of rings to the case, to tie the strap to, but I'm not sure how I would attach the rings to the case itself. Any ideas??
I was looking on this handbag website, and I saw these there. They are pretty steep, in my opinion, so I thought that maybe some of you would be interested in the general idea of making them and so on. Here's the link: http://store.fashionflavors.com/seatbeltbag.html Happy crafting!
haha. I am really not a big fan of Hanson, but my friend is obsessed Any ideas for a craft for her birthday? It's in a month or so, so I have some time. I was thinking maybe a hot pink pillow with her fave song lyrics written in black fabric marker? But I would welcome any more creative suggestions. Thanks girls (and guys)!
I am making a cotton halter top at the moment, and I cut a long strip of fabric for the strap. The problem is, the fabric will not stay flat. It rolls. I tried ironing it, but it just starts rolling again. Has this happened to any of you, and if so can you share some tips or suggestions for getting it flat? I would really appreciate it. Thank you ahead of time!
I have been thoroughly inspired by all you wonderful crafty people, and I am buzzing with ideas for shirts and so on. One prob, though. Nowhere around where I live can i find cheap packs of plain, fitted tees. The only packs i find seem to be for middle-aged men, and resemble tents. Any links/stores in which you know i could get some? thanks in advance.
Today I bought some really pretty batiked cotton. Now my ambition is to make a wrap around skirt for my sister for christmas. Its a circle-type skirt, with a tie and so forth. Has anyone made this type of skirt, and what tips have you to offer? this is my first real project, other than fooling around with fabric scraps, and its for my sister, so i want everything to go right! I intend on starting it full tilt tomorrow morning, so I can get it finished by next saturday, factoring in mon.-wed. for school. blech. Thanks everyone! You crafty people rock my sewing machine!
I make these hemp chokers, which i have forever been hanging vertically on a rectangular board. It doesnt do them justice, as they are very good quality and need to be seen as they would appear on a neck. I need something to work as a kind of long neck to display 15-20 necklaces on, but can't think of anything that I could use. I see lots those "bust" displays for sale to display longer necklaces, but these are up snug agaisnt your neck, so that kind of display wouldn't work. Any suggestions?
I'm planning on making a simple dress for my 4-year-old little sister for Christmas. I have beyond-adorable fabric, but am in search of a good pattern. Who has any suggestions for a good, simple, easy to comprehend pattern for my project? Any and all will be appreciated! Thanks
