Whimsical definitely came to mind when I saw this. It's so sweet and adorable, I love it so much.
After seeing this and Dr. Franknfurter, I've decided I desperately need to try scratchboard. I was just at acmoore today too Sad
Oh god, that's so cute I want it.

There's no effing way that's a drawing.
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: "Lily" Acrylic painting + ""Ruby" on: March 23, 2008 08:54:22 PM
When I see the last one I think.. Gemma. I think it fits her quite nicely. I like your style, it's a combination of Mark Ryden and Jasmine-Beckett Griffith.
4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Little Red Boat in the Big Black Sea (FO #2! Plus 2 bonus quilts!) on: March 23, 2008 08:43:26 PM
I keep looking back at this thread. I find the boat quilt to be really inspiring, it makes me want to branch out and take my art even further since I like working with textiles already. It's so amazing, I can't get over it.
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Re: Glue wash? on: March 16, 2008 12:27:49 PM
Acrylic medium or a glue wash will or atleast, SHOULD work. I sometimes use modge podge in place of acrylic medium because I can't be bothered to go buy it :/. It works fine.
6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: MY GOTHIC (ISH) ARTWORK on: March 16, 2008 11:15:32 AM
Normally when I hear "gothic" art I roll my eyes, but the skeleton's really awesome and so is the Hunter. I was actually really surprised and I think you did an awesome job, keep it up.

Good lord woman, those are amazing. Seeing drawings like these make me wonder if I should still keep drawing O_O
8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: my favorites!!! 3 paintings, a mermaid, a fish and fluorescent dolphins on: March 15, 2008 06:51:35 PM
It's totally the colors that are getting me. Oh and the subject matter, I don't see tropical animals used very often in fine are and these are totally gorgeous. I stared at the dolphins for like 5 minutes thinking... I wonder if I could do that.
9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: oil painting inspired by: industrialism, indian art, yoga, mannequins on: March 15, 2008 06:35:53 PM
It took me a minute before I realized what it was and I'm glad I took the time to really look at the second photo. The look on the person's face is so calm and soothing and I love the colors, it's really beautiful.
10  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: my Parisian man's painting. i call it "dead mermaid" on: March 15, 2008 06:33:21 PM
It's the face that really gets me. It's so soft, I feel like I'm repeating everyone else, but ethereal is a great word to describe it. It's so inspiring, I'm breathless.
