1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: I finally finished! Ruuuuuby Rooohd! on: November 02, 2007 05:05:23 PM
Haha! Thanks for all the great comments! I really didn't think that many people would know who I was. Smiley
Great job on the costume! I bet you were the life of the party (how could you not be with that character!). Did you go around screaming ?  Grin

I was really obnoxious all night... hehe....

LOL. I saw the thumbnail and said... that looks like Chris Tucker's character in the 5th element! I kid you not. Great idea and great finished product. Where in the world did you get that wig, it's perfect.  And did anyone else know who you were, none of my friends at college had ever even heard of 5th Element before I made them all watch it on one of those movie channels.

I made the wig, I cut down an afro wig and ended up with a lot of tiny platinum hairs all over my garage. Heh. Only like 5 people at the party knew who I was without me saying anything, and a lot of people had no idea at all.
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Adult: Ruuuuuuby Rohd! (Super Green.) on: November 01, 2007 08:51:00 PM

I was Ruby Rohd from the Fifth Element for our Halloween Party. You know... the guy that Chris Tucker plays? (See Below.)

Except, ignore the fact that I am not black... or male. I am however, equally fabulous. For the party I had knee high boots as well, but I have since returned them. I didn't get any pictures with the boots, or any good pictures of just me at the party, so... ignore my socks. I made my costume out of a ladies 2xl leopard print button down dress from goodwill. I used a cheap earring from WalMart for the necklace, I made the cane out of a dowel rod, drawer pull, and leftover fabric, I reshaped a cheapo wig, and I spray painted an old earpiece. Yup.

Anywhoo... more pictures!

(I was interviewing my cat.)

These are from the actual party...

(She is eating the tye died cheesecake (yeah I know, another one) I made for my boyfriend for his 21st birthday)

(Evil fairy, Alice, Brawny Man, and Ruby Rohd.)

That is a great idea! Now I know what to do with my old board. I lost all the pieces, but never threw it out because I am a pack rat...

I need to make one of those for my house. Although I would probably tear the top of the board. :/

That is the coolest notebook ever! I would kill to be able to bring one of those to class. I could contact the "spirits" for help on tests.
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Felt food on: October 04, 2007 10:44:24 AM
Haha! I love the pop tarts! I would have never thought of making those. The carrots are pretty amazing too.
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: felt plushie bambi! on: October 04, 2007 10:41:52 AM
That is pretty awesome! How big is it?
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Reusable alternative to wrapping paper (pic chubby) on: October 04, 2007 10:40:16 AM
Thats amazing! My grandma always saves the wrapping paper from presents to be reused and makes us open presents at the seams so we won't tear the paper. I think I am going to make some of these for her so I won't see the same paper my present was wrapped in 5 years ago anymore!
9  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: My doll costume for a black and white Halloween Birthday party (3 pics!) on: September 25, 2007 06:38:43 PM
You did such a good job on that! I think that with blush circles on your cheeks and pigtails you would be easily recognized as a doll. Oh, and baby doll shoes!
10  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: My Witch Kitchen Jars on: September 25, 2007 06:31:20 PM
Those are awesome! Now I think I need to go make a few to decorate my kitchen! Smiley
