hi guys,

i was really annoyed by my knitting needle box for ages. so i just did myself a needle roll, using this tutorial: http://alexandrasknits.blogspot.com/2006/01/tutorial-alexandras-needle-case.html
the tutorial is really easy to follow and the roll is really spacy and versatile... all kinds of needles fit in there... long, short, ... even circular!

it was so much work! and my first ever piping and frill... but i'm quite happy with the result. a nice little kids spring bag 

i did this bird-bag for a friend's little girl. i hope she'll like it

a sweet pink new home for my ipod nano: this was my first try with felt and my first ipod cozy it was a kind of prototype and i want to make a lot more like these. in different colours, designs and with different felt images...

so here it comes, my first try in soap making. a lovely tiramisu soap. it was so hard not to try and eat the stuff 

this is what i did: dived my melt and pour soap into two parts.
part 1 - mixed it with coffee oil, coconut oil and brown food coloring
part 2 - mixed it with vanilla oil, coconut oil, one drop of yellow food coloring and real amaretto

then i poured it in layers into a cake tin. on the top i sprinkled a little cocoa.

it just smells incredible!

hohoho. i've been knitting like mad over the last few days. and this is the result:

cabled fingerless mittens and a cabled hat. both made of the same grey yarn. the cables are different though. i started with the mittens and they were my first cables ever i used free patterns from ravelry...

i finished my second pair of socks yesterday 
they turned out better than the first one, i was a lot faster and i used a pattern...
they are a birthday present for my mum...

i just bought this lovely screaming pink fabric on a flea market in frankfurt. it’s curtains originally from the 60ties/70ties
bought 2 for 4€, each of them being about 2.40m x 1.60m - so loads of fabric for future bags… brilliant.

any suggestions what form of bag/purse/wallet would suit this fabric?

i used a chequered tweed fabric in brownish and black linen for the lining. plus iron on interfacing, black ribbon and snap fasteners to close the purse and wallet.
