1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Tiny Turtle Paper Toy on: February 12, 2009 07:24:55 AM
I made this paper toy in Photoshop. His name is Tiny! He would be great as a last minute valentine, or just for fun!

You can download and print him here http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3514/3274433168_e82dfa83a2.jpg

He's very easy to assemble. You will need a printer, craft knife, scissors, and a glue stick.

Cut around on the solid lines. Fold along the dotted lines. He forms into a simple box shape. There are tabs on each side which fold in and glue to the front of the body and side of the head. His legs will stick out away from the body and require the use of a craft knife to cut them. The bottom will be light green.

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Melted Art on: June 30, 2008 10:27:52 PM
I, like Miss sweets4ever like to melt plastic. Smiley

I wanted to be able to wear my meltables, so I came up with this necklace. Made of melted acrylic letters fused together in the oven.

Would love to know what you think!

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Modus' 3 Wing Circus on: March 09, 2007 07:43:00 PM
I called my title that because my cards are all so different (and odd!) from one another, but share a common theme of wings...it reminds me of a freak show, but with atcs instead of people and I'm the crazy ring leader...er, crafter Tongue

anyway on with the cards!

Here is my group shot

"My Heart Had Wings"
feathers, stickers, collage, cardstock, paper, ink

"Flight At Sunset"
stickers, ink, buttons, marker, paper

"Ain't Not Thing But A Chicken Wing"  Cool
collage, origami paper, stamps, ink, rickrack, brad, paper

The chicken wing one was a joke, but then I started to like it. I found the feather trim and knew I had to use it for one of my cards. I had a blast coming up with ideas for these. Thanks for looking!

I made this for the February challenge and the card will be sent to Paperbag for the Zetti ATC Swap (I hope she's not peeking!)

Detail

Made from cardstock, vintage papers, origami paper, collage, punches, ink and a rhinestone.
I suppose I can thank OriginalYouth for the zetti fever I seem to have lately Grin

This is also my first challenge entry!
Thanks for looking.
5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Taxes Time! Eeeek! on: January 30, 2007 04:46:05 AM
I'm worried about doing my taxes this year.  Undecided

I don't have a tax ID and am not reporting my pay from my etsy store. I know some shops charge tax on their items and keep huge records. I keep records of my sales, but not extensive records

I'm curious as to how many other people don't include their etsy during tax time. As far as I know, the governemnt is trying to pass a bill to better track online sales.

I guess I'm asking for advice or what you all are going to do. I know the tax laws vary from state to state, but I'm sort of lost as what I should do!
6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Came in 3rd place in ATC Contest! on: January 09, 2007 07:42:05 AM
(if this post doesn't belong here, feel free to move it)

Hello ladies,

I was just too excited about this and had to share it with all you ATC lovers!

Back in the August issue of "Get Creative" magazine, they held an ATC cometition where you had to use at least 2 rub-on elements and at least 1 metal item on your card. At the time, I was in 3 ATC swaps here on Craftster and decided why not enter while I had heaps of supplies everywhere  Wink

I was at JoAnns last night and was on my way to the checkout. I happened to pick up the recent copy of "Get Creative" (Jan/Feb 2007) and was leafing through it. Lo and behold on page 60 it says, "And the Winner Is..." and there's a picture of my ATC for 3rd place! They never contacted me or anything so it was a complete surprise!

The winner got a 1 year subscription to the magazine. I'm not aware that I won anything for 3rd place, but it was enough for me just to be chosen Smiley

I will post a photo of my card later this afternoon when I get home from work.

Thanks for letting me share, I had to tell someone!  Grin
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Bright Eyes Swap Gallery on: October 26, 2006 05:12:17 PM

Due to the fact the the person who organized this swap has not been online since July 20th, I figured the rest of the swap participants deserved to show off their goods in a gallery. I have become a swap angel to Sidekickfancy and I got the approval from taloola to start this gallery.

Here is the original swap thread:

We all would love to see what everyone sent and received! So, show off your Bright Eyes goodies ladies. Smiley
8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Feedback on Samples for The Sampler on: October 10, 2006 05:39:21 AM
Hello all.
I decided on contributing to the Sampler (for the November Edition), however,  I would appreciate any comments you have on my samples. I have been approved to contribute already...I just want to know what my fellow Craftsters think about the items, packaging, etc. This is my first ever time contributing!
Anything you would change?
I have also included a postcard, bix card a 10% off coupon and some 1 inch buttons with the boxes. Is this the norm?
Please let me know!

Thank you Smiley

9  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 14 ENTRIES / Norm The Tiniest Gnome! on: August 03, 2006 05:38:27 PM
This is Norm everyone! He is 2 inches tall.
This is the extent of my sewing. I'm a painter, but I thought I would go out of my comfort zone for this challenge.
His clothing is wool felt, all hand sewn together. His beard is made of yarn and his grey hair is wool. His head is wooden and his body is all wired and wrapped in ribbon, so he is fully posable. I drew on his little face.
This is my first challenge, and I'm so excited to enter it  Cheesy
I hope you enjoy my tiny creation!

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Little Cupcake String Lights on: July 13, 2006 03:28:47 PM
Thought I would share these. I found these little lights, nice and plain, and just had to paint something on them. There's 10 in the set. The cupcakes are done in acrylics, and the frosting is sparkly.
I'd love to hear what you think of them!  Cheesy
Thanks for looking.

Here's a picture of a couple lights
