I've been playing with making tops and these are the first two I've tried. Both of them are in the brown/ green range and actually look much better in person.

This one has pockets and an applique flower.


This one has puffy sleeves and a 'tie'.


I used purchased t's to make the patterns.

I was having a crafting block this week and needed to change things up a little. So I decided to make myself a big vinyl bag. Big, to fit all the numerous items I am finding that I carry  - and vinyl, just 'cause and since it is easy to keep clean.



I put this in the corner since it needed something for balance.



I found some scrumptious orange vinyl for accent and made a birdie and flower applique. I placed it on a pocket, since I wasn't sure it would turn out. Then I lined the pocket, since it had fuzziness on the back of the vinyl. I thought the pocket would be great for cell phone or sunglasses, etc. It has a brown floral liner and inside pocket(no pic). I put the orange strip around the top and am really happy with it. It also has a brown floral/orange vinyl strap.

I made some tiny pouches with the bright new colors of vinyl I found. I had fun making them! They are perfect for business cards and are unlined.

The purple one has a velvet bird flying home.

This one has a dotted ribbon going horizontally on the front and vertically on the back. I love how the ribbon colors pop!

I found some bright spring fabrics and decided to try out the circle skirt idea. They were not difficult. I may be making more!

The first one is a super bright fun fabric.



Next I tried one with pockets in a cool vintage fabric with a ribbon hem.



The last one has a fun little fish applique hiding among the coral and a ribbon hem.



Circle skirts are quick and very swirly!

I love skirts for feeling springy and colorful. They are a quick wardrobe fresh-up!! 

I made three of them in the last few days to celebrate different moods.

Here's the first, somewhat sober one with a less than sober applique. I mean you "could" wear it to work.... 





Here's a springy looking one.



My favorite is the last because it's twirly. It is bright orange and fun. The second pic shows it's full twirly capabilities.

I made a few new things lately and can't post them on my website, since they are off to consignment. So I thought I'd share them with you all.

The first two are skirts that I appliqued with flowers.





The last is a dress with a retro fabric pocket and trim.

I've recently made some new things. Thought I'd post the bunch!

This skirt I made a while ago and just added the bird applique. It gives it more interest.



This one was made back a few months ago and needed something. So I added some flowers along the ruffled area.



I made this one out of a vintage pillowcase to which I added the rickrack and applique flower trim. Very pink!



This top has a fruity yoke in the front and a fruity watermelon at the hemline.



This skirt has a different color front/back so you can wear it however you feel like. One side has a funky mountain applique and the back is solid charcoal with a sun/flower applique near the hem.

Hannah Z - No, I have a dorky kiddie camera with no white balance. I don't know what's up with the links. They pull up for me in lots of browsers. (mystified.....?!) Sorry you can't see them. I'll try to post them here in Craftster and put them in the page.

The GIMP thing is because they aren't updating the project anymore for Windows Me or earlier versions. So I can't save anything I do. I finally just took it off my computer. If I could get it to work, it'd be an excellent tool. I'm going to try the free temporary version of Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator, I think.  Here are a couple of the pics.





As you can see I didn't get to do much with the lines/corners, since I couldn't get the gimp to work. I tried the daylight bulbs and had only slightly better success, so I think I just need the photoshop/photo editor.
