1  How can I strengthen my sheep's ears?? in Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions by VikingKnits on: October 16, 2007 03:12:13 AM
Hey folks,
I'm totally new to this, but I made these last night:

As you can see the middle one looks really folorn because his ears came off, because obvously they went brittle. I did expect this to happen, but they look bald without ears! Is there any way that I can strengthen them? I wondered if I used a small piece of wire, poked it into the head, then moulded the ear on it - if you know what I mean. Would this work? Is there anything else you can suggest?
Cheers in advance Smiley

2  A Wee Viking - my first polymer project! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by VikingKnits on: October 12, 2007 12:05:55 PM
Hey folks,
Well this is my first ever plymer clay project which I did today. He's a wee Viking!  I was going to put a pair of knitting needles in his beard, but it'd have ruined it if I did so I left the beard alone!!

These are from Knitty.com, it's a great pattern, very easy and quick to make! I made them in Rowan pur wool aran, and only used about half a ball!

Thanks fo the comments on my stole as well by the way Cheesy it's my proudest knitting to date so I'm really chuffed you all like it too, specially as I wasn't sure if the colour would work!

4  Baltic Sea Stole in hand dyed 2 ply in Knitting: Completed Projects by VikingKnits on: October 12, 2007 03:24:56 AM
This is my Baltic Sea Stole from Fiber Trends, knitted in my own hand dyed 2 ply lambswool. I'm quite proud of it as I've only been knitting 9-10 months.
Just want to add that this place is SO addictive!!
