1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Victorian style earrings with vintage stones and bead woven bezels on: December 07, 2008 04:01:49 AM
Here are some earrings I made recently. They have vintage glass stones and I made netted bezels to go around them. I had been making pieces like this using bead embroidery, but then the backs of the stones got covered up, and they look so much better when the light can shine through them. Let me know what you think of them!

And a close up:

And what they look like from the back:
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Some embroidered jewelry (Image heavy) Now with tutorial in my blog on: February 16, 2008 11:54:42 AM
EDIT: I just posted a reply at the end, but I guess I'll add it here, too. There's a tutorial on how to add the beads around the edges in my blog: http://themermaidsden.blogspot.com/

I've been doing some embroidered jewelry lately (not sure if I should post this to jewelry, too), and I really like the idea of wearable embroidered jewelry. Here's what I've made so far:

(Now let's see if I can get the photos to show up!)

And finally, a pendant:

Let me know what you think!
