1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Anyone who handsews? on: December 15, 2008 08:41:37 PM
Anyone who handsews please please please post inspiration (as in your (favourite) projects)? I don't have a sewing machine though.

I'm not really into no-sew projects such as slashing shirts or halters/tubes. Actually, I have a few projects in mind but I don't dare to go ahead to buy the material and try. Just need a little push Wink

I like jersey but it's quite expensive at Spotlight for the nicer, less heavy kind? Or maybe I just have to search better hm ): Was thinking of buying cheap basics to recon, might be easier?
2  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: What's your weird guilty pleasure? on: October 25, 2008 06:36:18 AM
maybe it isnt that strange but sometimes my mom buys takeaway cream of mushroom soups and keeps them in the fridge for later /  breakfast /etc. since they come in paper cups i have to pour them out and reheat ...i'm lazy so now i just drink them cold Cheesy

i also like crisps with rice. i don't do that now but when i was littler my mom would trick me into eating dinner by letting me eat crisps with rice. i suppose its sort of like furikake (japanese rice seasoning) but potato instead of bonito haha

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / DROPS Crochet hat in Bomull-Lin help! on: September 02, 2008 12:39:33 AM
(pattern:http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=99&d_id=25&lang=en)
pattern says "Repeat 5th round until piece measures 17 cm" but that's like ...6 inches? does that mean I measure the diameter of the hat to be 6inches? or does it look like a typo = circumference of the hat to be 17inches?

this is my first time trying a pattern like that + i didn't manage to get the correct gauge so i tried to improvise but it's still very small after repeating many row5s as compared to the pictures i've seen on ravelry ):

my gauge is 25x26 instead of 15x16, and i think i'm going to try again with another hook/yarn. heh if anyone will help me work out how many more stitches to do with my current gauge, that will be great Tongue
