1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: alone for the holidays/make a friend christmas swap? on: October 20, 2008 07:27:54 AM
This sounds like a great idea...I'm abroad this Christmas (and last Christmas!) so it'll be a very small celebration this year.

Oh thank you Riechan, I was wondering how much packages were to send (that's much cheaper tha i expected too!) I've been here a year and still haven't had reason to send packages (luckily we've had lots of visitors and visits back to the UK so I get to miss out the postman altogether Smiley ) Still I may start swapping now that I know it's not too expensive to send stuff.
Still struggling on finding decent priced material though...thank god for ikea material and sheets is all i can say Sad

Hey Miss Chris Smiley

Think wires got crossed I was asking Ktto about her internship Tongue I'm not an intern I'm an English tutor:) I live right by the commission though so know it well Smiley Been here for a year now and although I'm not really sure I agree that it's a great place (not enough alternative culture and Belgium sure does like to make everything complicated!) it's home for now Smiley
5  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / EUROPE / Re: craft store addresses and events in Belgium: hasselt, brussels, leuven on: August 03, 2008 12:24:50 PM
Few more to add...

Arteclub www.arteclub.be
223 avenue Georges Henri, Brussels

Folio
Woluwe shopping centre, Brussels

Creatine
http://www.creatinewavre.be (Wavre)
http://www.creatinestockel.be/creatine/ (stockel)

http://www.maison-lefebvre.be (Brussels)

Club paper shop (city2 and a million other places)
Bit expensive but it's a general stationary/art supplies kinda place.

Zeeman, Wibra, Kruidvat and Hema (Wavre, Leuven, Brussels) often have little bits for kiddy or simple crafts too.

http://www.creavenue.com has a craft/art/classes search thats pretty extensive.

For dress material the only place I've seen thats any good is Pauli in Leuven. Everywhere else is either unreachable by public transport or way to expensive to consider (if anyone knows different please please let me know...my UK supply ran out months ago and withdrawal symptoms are starting to kick in Tongue)

Great Shot.  I'd say the rust looks pretty.

I don't know why but I really have a thing for rusty, derelict or abandoned things.... I think they're the prettiest buildings/things possible as they are Smiley
