1  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 41 ENTRIES / Jay Z is in stitches on: August 05, 2009 08:59:04 PM
Well, I have never entered a challenge before and at the last minute, literally, I tried cake decorating. I highly doubt that Chef Duff would hire me but I figured I would try.

I have always liked the song by Jay-Z, "99 Problems" but when I saw Rebecca A Rakstad come up with this beautyhttp://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=18084829 in postcard form, I knew I had to some how recreate it. I love it so and since embroidery and cross-stitch are my new pastimes, I thought that I would add cake to the mix. Like I said this is my first cake decorating and first challenge so, please, be nice.

Thanks for looking! Sorry I forgot the during pics.

I would normally just post the pics over posting a link, but I seem to be having issues downsizing my photos. My apologies.

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / [Pre-washing fabric question] Anyone that has used canvas on: December 06, 2008 11:30:50 AM
Hi all! I was just curious if you have used canvas for tote bags and such, did you wash the canvas first? I am making tote bags for christmas presents and I have never used canvas. I usually wash cotton before making projects, but I wasn't sure about canvas. Suggestions, hints, advice? Thanks.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Reversible Apron Tute or free Pattern? on: February 09, 2008 10:55:16 AM
Hi! I'm a newb (to actual posting) and I figured I would come to you fine ladies to help me.
I am looking for an apron tut or free pattern. Preferably, a reversible full apron. I found a few for halfsies, but it's the top half of me that becomes a mess when I am cooking. Undecided
I absolutely, love Meg's creation http://www.montessoribyhand.net/patterns.html  I was hoping to find something similar. Any help would be appreciated. TIA!
