111  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Gotta Love Hemp! on: February 18, 2008 09:37:40 PM
I can't get enough of it! I don't know why, but I'm inlove with making hemp jewelry. Fun, easy, not time consuming, and always usually ends up looking great! I made these 3 in a time period of 2 hours. VERY quickly done and I can't WAIT to wear them out!

I absolutely LOVE the heart with the wing! I would wear that everywhere I went.

This is absolutely ADORABLE! I wish I could get my daughter to keep hats on her head and things on her feet just so I could make these for her!

Showed my DH the drum key...he's a drummer, too.
The second one looks uncomfortably tight, but nice design.

Yeah, it's normally a perfect size around my neck where it's not too tight and not too loose, but after having my daughter my weight has just gotten out of hand so it's tight now unfortuantly.

Well, I've only got 3 pictures of necklaces I've made. I'm big into hemp jewelry and I'm starting to cross over into beaded work, but unfortuantly having a 6 month old is making this transition hard, lol. Unfortuantly, I am only allowed to post links to pictures right now.

This is a necklace using a drum key that I made for my husband. Once in a local band, traveling caused him to always lose his drum keys and sent me outside looking around for one in numerous vehicles. This necklace is somewhat heavy, but is very practical for an avid drummer.

This is a choker that I made out of saved soda tabs. We're avid soda drinkers and after saving up cans and tabs for recycling, I realized I ran out of beads to put on my hemp necklaces! So, after digging through the recycling, I found these and they worked great!

This is a necklace again for the hubby. Black hemp, tribal beads, and a pooka shell. After running out of shells, I went through my vase I had in the bathroom full of shells and things and finally found this! An exciting find, might I add.

Well, that's all I have right now, but I'll be making more soon.
