This year, I have an excuse. I will bve heavily pregnant in the first half of December, then give birth somewhere between the 10th (my due date) and the 23rd most likely (when they'd induce me if I went over and not into labour naturally).

Here its almost time for the massive toy sales, next month *buzzes with excitement*. This year I'll have a 21 month old (almost) and a newborn, so obviously anything crafty has to be started early... I'll be checking this thread at least once a week to see if anyone else has any ideas, coz I'm stumped for the kids... oh, and my DF too. Though he wants a quilt inspired by some dragon from World of Warcraft. Odd, but I can deal with it. Must get sewing machine repaired and steal Mum's in the meantime *cries*

Oh, and I'm in Australia too, so its going to be summer (bring it on, its absolutely freezing here at the moment!) Please, please, any ideas?

Investigate getting some PUL. Polyurathene Laminate is what is stands for I think (please someone correct me if I'm wrong!!!) but its a waterproof material that you can use to make bags and wipes pouches and that sort of thing. In the US, there are some great suppliers and you can get minky PUL a lot easier than we can in Australia And a much wider selection too
Its actually used in nappies and wetbags, 2mil is best, but 1 will certainly do the job!

Come to think of it, you could use it to line nappy bags and things if you have a habit of doing what I do - or if the mother in question does - chucking in a sippy cup or whatever into the bag and then ending up with a bag dripping through the shop...
