I've taken a brief hiatus from sewing, cause I'm poor and a college student...

Okay, I lie! I've taken up another hobby that eats up some monies - motorcycling!
This summer, my boyfriend's convincing me to work on making pants, and hopefully getting used to making them to the point that they're fashionable and practical on a bike!

Right now, I'm working on the fashionable / learning how to MAKE pants part:

I can do zippers. Zippers on the crotch? Not too sure...But I can do some corset-tying!
Also, I like pink, but I don't like feeling too girly. Raw edges, it is!


Oh, I found out that having that line of pink on the inner thigh doesn't allow for much movement at the crotch, since it's not stretch denim.... Oops!


I love the corseting thing so much, I wanted to extend it further! (Though I didn't like it at the crotch, so I also tried to change it up. Apparently, my Game of Thrones kick shows in this pair)


And the side! (oooh, fancy camera angles, ha!)

So, being a college student, I have NO time to sew (which is sad, because I even brought my machine to my dorm!)
Once I got home, I got SO excited...after all, I have 5 WEEKS off, so I might as well make something, right?

I had this pokemon fleece blanket laying around, and since no one uses it, I figured I'd see how easy it would be to make a beanie...
I made the first one, excited, not realizing that pikachu wasn't on it AT ALL! =[
So, I made the second one with pikachu in mind...and it turns out, I made him upside down! Aww...





Well, after that, I decided to make myself some cute bear beanies..
I don't know why, I think it's cause I was staring at my teddy bears in my shelf, and, well I do call my boyfriend my teddy bear
So...I decided to be the bear!

This one's my baby, I love it so much!


I decided to make another one...having my boyfriend in mind,.. (he wouldn't wear it, but hey, I love sewing!)



And...last but not least (so far)
I decided to make my boyfriend something...but not a bear beanie (thought it'd be too cutesy?)
I made him a NINJAAAAA


But alas, I think he may be too tough to wear it. Heh <3

My boyfriend picked out the model from picture I had narrowed down to 3 =]
He picked her, and I was like "psh, it's cause she's asian!" haha

Anyway, I loved this shoot mainly cause of how the pictures turned out. My model, Stephanie, didn't really like the photographer (he didn't focus on showing the clothes), and I understand why..
Well, here goes!

The shorts were (like always) a mistake. The red part was added on because the shorts originally didn't go over her hips!

This is just another tunic from cotton knit. I wanted to do a keyhole, but I kinda failed on the biased tape =[ so I added ruffles, hoping no one would notice my wonky biased tape


^^That's my fave picture! I use it on my website now, and (of course) my boyfriend said that his choice was indeed a good one xD

The shorts didn't fit...the side zipper didn't zip up all the way =[ (it's on the side cause i haven't figure out the crotch zipper...)

I was gonna put these together with another thread I'[ll be makin, but these are recycled stuffs so..it goes here ! XD

I only have one other photoshoot to compare, and I liked this one because my photographer actually PAID ATTENTION to my interests! Which is to show off the clothes!

The pics are obviously copyrighted to him (beach photog on mm), my model's name is Meli (my clothes aren't her style! I think that's a little obvious), and I made the clothes

This is from a men's shirt...my model said it looked so familar, and when I told her, she was like OMG! My husband has one! hah
The front of the men's shirt is now the back, with the buttons to get in and out..
The back of the men's shirt is now upside-down on the front so it "grabs" well...




This is my most favorite piece! =D
The bodice is from a men's shirt (it has to be starched so the back can stay up)
The bottom is something I found at the thrift store! It was so bright, I had to grab it =D
The back (as usual, with my things) was a mistake - best one I ever made ! xD
(oh yea, and my friend made the necklace)

Two men's shirts, black and green; They had stuff written on the front, so I only used the back of each shirt..
Decided I wanted harem shorts (though I've also seen em called yoga shorts)...

The other side is much smaller, cause i have the bigger side, my cousin just has that TV on her side and another computer desk
Anyway, we're both just two teenage girls, so we don't know what to do/how to arrange things.
We recently made the bookshelf my storage area, putting it on the side, but I'm thinking of moving it back up to a standing bookshelf.

I want a permanent place for my sewing machine (which has to be boxed up after I sew all the time)
She just wants to have a room that looks less WOODEN! The walls are like wooden planks, and all our furniture except the chairs are wooden, we don't like it.

Help please?
