4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Coffee Filter Roses UPDATED with In progress pics on: February 24, 2009 05:02:59 PM
I've made coffee filter roses before, but they've never looked anywhere near that realistic. When I made them, I always stained the filter with teas, which kind of lends itself to being a natural color since it's just dried plants.
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby Blankie Madness!!! on: January 23, 2009 04:06:04 PM
Well, not really madness... Stripey blanket in double crochet with a shell border, for a coworker's impending bundle of joy. None of her relatives are crafty, and every little baby needs a handmade blanket. She loved it!

Up Close!

Whole blankie!!! (I swear it is actually rectangular! I don't know why the side looks funny.)

I got my package from TSmith! First off, a rainbow scarf that is oh so cheery!

And a candle and a little zippered pouch filled with goodies!

8  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Fall Scarf Swap! Signups 9/25/08 - 10/2/08 (sendouts 10/30/08) on: October 10, 2008 03:24:49 PM
I'm about half way done with my scarf and still thinking about smallish type things!

Haven't got my pup back yet, but I'm feeling optimistic right now. We moved the trap today and he walked right by while we were setting it up...we're getting closer!!!
you'll get your pup back!  and at least you've seen him and he's staying close... i don't know what i'd do if my dog ran away  Undecided

I have instructed my pup to telepathically tell yours to go home! In the case her psychic powers fail, I recommend using a cornish game hen as bait.

Well, I started planning out my partner's scarf, but just to get my feet wet (and to not screw up on something I had to send out) I made myself a scarf today. Cheesy

yay!  the best swap items are the ones you want to keep, so i take that as a good sign!!  i have a perfect idea for your scarf and am beginning it today...

ughhh i'm so bad about wanting to keep stuff!!! i've already started scarfin' it up (that sounds unappetizing), and i'm thinking about the best smalls to put together...

Yay for scarves!
