My son was jack skellington this year, everybody said it was so cute and one of the best costumes..

I made the head from a pattern (the pattern was to make a jack-o-lantern trick or treating basket), the jacket and pants were adult size and I rezised them to fit him, the white shirt was bought and the bat I made with  no pattern..

You're brave to use such a fluffy yarn for a first project! Looks good!  Grin

I'm taking a knitting class, and the teacher just learned how to knit too and she said she didn't know how I could use that yarn.. I said that way you can't see my mistakes   Grin  but its just knit stitch so it wasn't so hard.
Now we are working on a dishrag.

thankyou for the comments...

these are quite lovely -- I haven't worked with beads before -- is there special wire for these? I would love to figure out how to make a few of these!

well I think you could  use any kind of wire that you can fit beads into.. I used that wire hangers to hang ornaments on your christmas tree, you can buy them at the dollar store or walmart, because that is what I had..

this is kind of what I'm talking about..

I found this link to a tutorial on how to do them... that is NOT where I got the idea from to do mine, I got it from a Martha Stewart book..
