Something about the eyes made me click on the thumbnail... They remind me of my chihuahua, Niki (R.I.P.)  He was an evil one too, but in a cute way.  Love the painting!
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: New Home Starter kit? on: April 11, 2009 09:55:10 PM
A basic tool kit could come in handy:  you could include a hammer, some picture hooks or small nails, pliers, a screwdriver set, a set of allen keys (I think thats what they're called - the little wrenches that you use to put together 'some assembly required' furniture), and little felt circles to protect the floor from furniture legs.  Most of this stuff can be found at the dollar store, and you might even find a cute basket or bag to hold it all.

LOVE this!  Do you mind if I ask, where did you find the pattern?
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Looking for pattern/tut for small dog carrier (not a tote) on: June 22, 2008 03:14:23 PM
I recently got a chihuahua-Pomeranian cross puppy, and I am trying to find a pattern or tutorial for a carrier that I can use for him in the winter time.

The problem is that I live above the Arctic circle, and the winters here are COLD!!  It gets down to about -60 degrees Celsius (about -75 in Fahrenheit) on the coldest days, and that is too cold to have a 5 pound dog out on a leash or in a tote.  I figure the best way to get him around would be a sling or mei-tei type carrier, like you would use for a child, that I could wear under my parka.

Has anyone seen anything like this designed for a dog?  I would really appreciate any direction.

Too cute!  You must have good eyesight to make something so small.. I think I would go cross-eyed!

That is GORGEOUS!  I never would have guessed it was made from an afghan, it looks like it has a great fit.
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Deck of cards = awesome, easy, romantic gift! on: February 10, 2008 11:45:33 AM
I love this!  I always want to make a personalized valentine for my DH, but I'm not gifted at card making.  I have to start narrowing my list of 'whys' now... will be difficult  Wink
