1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Farbenmix Euro Patterns for Kids on: December 31, 2007 09:25:38 AM
I found this great link on Farbenmix--it's to help out in sewing their patterns. They only have a fraction of their patterns translated into English, but what's there is great. They are guides for sewing up their patterns and some of them have a photo illustrated step-by-step guide. This isn't actually the patterns, but on many of them you can look at the basic pattern pieces that they show and I'm sure anyone with any amount of experience can "fudge" their way through several of these SUPER CUTE pieces.
Anyhow, hope this helps!!

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Newbie question on baby quilt on: November 15, 2007 07:03:41 AM
I just made my first VERY SIMPLE baby sized quilt top and have a silly question. If I lay the batting down, top with the backing, then the top (right sides facing), then rotary cut the backing and batting to size, can I pin this way then sew around the edges, leaving a space to turn, turn it, close the opening, top stitch the border, quilt in the ditch and then border with a coordinating bias tape to finish everything? I guess my main concern is the method of layering and sewing shut that I'm describing.... any advice??
