3  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Gir Hoodie on: December 04, 2012 09:46:49 AM
My husband loves Gir from Invader Zim and kept saying I should make a gir costume for one of our dogs.  I happened to have the fabric so here it is:

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Dog Leash Coupler for 3 dogs on: April 04, 2012 07:04:19 PM
We adopted another dog last summer so now we have 3 and they're a little hard to walk on separate leashes.  I looked at buying a coupler online but I wanted something prettier than the plain, solid colors so I made my own.

I also made a seat belt buckle for the car.

It buckles in to the seat belt and I can clip the ring on the coupler to it.
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Nook Tablet Cover on: December 12, 2011 03:34:40 PM
My sister-in-law is getting a Nook Tablet for Christmas from her parents and her favorite color is green.  Green is harder to find in cute cases so I made her one from the etsy pattern by BirdifulStitches.  I made a sleeve too with the leftover fabric.

7  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Singer Doesn't Sew? on: August 27, 2011 12:37:19 PM
I have a Singer that's maybe 3 years old and it recently stopped making any stitches at all.  It doesn't matter what settings it is on, the tension, or the type of stitch.  I've cleaned out the machine, changed the bobbin, changed the thread, changed the needle and it just won't make a stitch.  Any help?
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New Orange Purse! on: August 14, 2010 04:31:33 PM
I haven't posted in a while cause I haven't really made much but here's my latest creation, a pretty orange purse cause I wanted a new one and couldn't find anything I liked.

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Advice needed for dress alterations on: August 24, 2009 06:15:45 AM
I bought a dress online that I really like but it makes me look really fat.  I put it on a dress form with the same measurements and it looked really good so I don't know if it's because I tried to lace the back myself or if it's the boning.  I have a different dress that looks much better but I don't like it as much.  Can you people with more clothing experience tell me if there is anything that can be done?  Could they change the boning if I took it to be altered?  Would that be really expensive?

Also, the boning in the chest sticks out too far for me, I'm very flat chested so it looks strange.  Can that be fixed also?

Dress on dress form:

And just for reference here is the other dress that does not make me look so fat:

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / simple dog harness on: July 08, 2009 08:36:13 AM
Nothing too special, my doggie outgrew her harness so I made a new one using the rings from the old one.  So basically this is just an excuse to show off my dog. lol.
