14  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Another Amy Butler Sanibel Purse on: February 17, 2008 07:36:54 PM
Ok here is my version of The Sanibel purse. I have been drooling over it for about 4 months. I found a local Store in the Kansas City area that carries them (Urban Arts) Seeing how I don't have an extra $150.00 dollars laying around. I decided to try one. Mine is about 3 inches shorter in width. It took me about 3 hours to make. I am going to make a wallet later to match. I was hoping to have this done by tonight. My husband is having Surgery tomorrow and I figured my bag would carry alot of stuff.
15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Baseball purese and wallet. on: January 28, 2008 09:05:57 PM
I gave my nephew a gift certificate for a purse and wallet for Christmas. She told me she wanted a baseball themed purse so this is what she got.  The navy part of the bag are outside pockets. I am so glad that is done.

16  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New KU purse and wallet. on: January 15, 2008 03:48:04 PM
My sister is addicted to KU stuff. This is the third purse and wallet I have made here out of different KU Material. I'm sure there is more to come.  I think she needs an intervention.. Anyways the purse is just a square bottom bag. The wallet pattern is from Favorite Things, called A safe place.
Thanks for looking.

17  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / The Amy Bag. on: January 12, 2008 12:34:14 AM
This bag was pretty easy. It took me about 1 1/2 to make. I got my fabric from Joanns. I had a hard time getting a picture of the inside because of the elastic. I hope you like it.

18  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Red and Black Purse and Wallet on: January 07, 2008 09:49:41 PM
The purse is just a square bottom bag. and the wallet is something that I have taken from a larger wallet. I am still perfecting it. That was my sample. I am going to change it.  Thanks for taking a look.

20  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Here is a raggy quilted purse . With Tutorial on: November 09, 2007 10:05:36 PM
This was one fun purse to make.

32 4x4 squares coordinating fabrics for outside
32 3x3 fleece squares
32 4x4 of the same material for inside

I sandwich a outside square fleece middle cowhide inside

sew an x . I repeated this 32 times

Sew them all togeather. 4 across and 16 down. folded in half
sewed up the sides. Pulled the bottom corners out and sewed them like you would a square bottom purse, but on the outside.
You need to sew all the squares with the edges on the outside. I put my handles on the outside. Than I sniped the raw edges to make it look more raggy. I threw it in the washer and presto a raggy purse.

Caution : Be careful snipping. You do not want to snip into the connecting seems.

Enjoy.
