11  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Fun Artwork that makes a statement on: July 25, 2005 04:08:29 PM
Ok, so I got really bored one night after having gone to my college group at church, and I was listening to the guys talk about the kinds of girls they wanted to date.  So me being my loud boisterious self decided to start somewhat of a fight with some of them telling them that if they were really going to go by what the bible said (which by the way I think is very interpretive), but they were the ones claiming they were all holier than thou and such.  So I pulled out the scripture from Proverbs 31 which mentions nothing about looks.  Which gave me the idea of making a collage of what the world says a woman should be contrasted with what the bible says on the subject.  So here it is, it hangs out pretty close to my bed.

12  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Wrestling Ring Jackets? on: July 19, 2005 03:51:04 PM
My boyfriend is a semi-professional wrestler and we were talking last night about some of my embroidery projects and he thought it would be really fun if I could make him a ring jacket.  He's too cute and I'd love to make him one, being that when he's out of state or even out of country at matches, he would have a reminder of home when I can't go with him because of work and such.  The problem is, I'm not big into wrestling so I'm not exactly sure what making a ring jacket would entail, so I would love some feed back on what exactly a ring jacket is, what materials would be used, possible ideas for patterns that could be re-vamped or altered a bit to make one.  I tried googling it but I didn't really find anything all that helpful.  I figured since craftster is so awesome, I'm sure there is someone on here who could help me out.

Thanks in advance,
Bree

14  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Snow Bunny Hat, With a Twist on: April 16, 2005 10:13:03 AM
So right now I'm helping out with the musical at my old highschool, and so is one of my best friends from highschool, and I decided since she was working so hard she deserved a present.  So I sat down one night and whipped this baby out.

I got the pattern on Crochet Me.  http://www.crochetme.com/Dec_Jan_0405/patt_snow_bunny_hat.html
I followed the pattern but instead of using ribbon, I just used another color of yarn, and I also made the ties in the CC, and then I added the pom pom to the hat.  Hope you all enjoy.
15  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Dia de Los Muertos Embroidered Quilt on: January 26, 2005 01:44:03 PM
I'm thinking of making a quilt of squares embroidered with an overall theme of "Dia de Los Muertos".  I am in love with the imagery and colors that are used.  I'm going to use the patterns off of Sublime Stitching and I'm going to print some pictures off the net onto transfer paper.  I'd love to know what you guys think and any suggesstions, and I'll post pics as it comes along.  Also, any suggesstions on where to find some pics would be awesome.
