1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Coiled wire and beads pendants and brooch on: December 05, 2008 06:19:05 AM
'Wonky' is the hip new word all the kids are using these days to mean 'TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME'. Cool
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Bracelet of the Month-beaded bracelets for every month on: December 04, 2008 11:25:15 AM
These are fun! I love the flair and different pieces used in the bracelets. Don't judge yourself so harshly! All the "I'm not artist/designer/whatever" people always come of with some of the most innovative and amazingly cool works, just like these pieces .

I love Eni's designs! Such a wonderful job!
Wish I had the cash to go on that bead cruise she's teaching on in March. :drool emote:

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: "Fiesta Wear!" necklace on: December 04, 2008 11:14:18 AM
Thanks!
I really need some real Mexican food. Some Cancun style tacos. mmmmm..... *sigh*

I made some rather large earrings that go with this but I haven't taken a picture yet. Probably should do that  Tongue
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / "Fiesta Wear!" necklace on: December 04, 2008 07:59:59 AM
I made this with black agate and glass for the base. The colored beads are agates, dyed howlite, and glass. My fave flowers are pressed glass with black Swarovski crystals for centers. There's a total of 6 strands.
Try really hard to ignore my gigantic face.  Tongue

Anyways, I miss Texas and this was a little cure for some homesickness I've been feeling.
7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Re: Mucha bisque tissue box on: November 19, 2008 02:36:38 PM
The tissue box is long gone. I have no idea if my swap partner even received it.
The side glaze is a 'Peacock' glaze and the picture looks strange. I need a new camera.

I'm going to try working on making ceramic necklace pendants before my clay dries. I wish the liquid glazes looked like the color they fire into. It would make blending easier.
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: METROPOLIS (film) inspired necklaces on: November 17, 2008 12:37:22 PM
These are amazing!  I've never seen Metropolis, but it reminds me a lot of the art of Hajime Soryama, which I love!  Any idea what those beads are called?

The silver finished beads were a find in a vintage mall while I lived in Dallas, Texas. They appear to be handmade but they are very similar to large bead caps or cups.
Fire Mountain Gems has some similar bead cups but they are much smaller in size and lack the nice patina.

(Late response because I've been slackin' with the craftin')
9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Mucha bisque tissue box on: November 17, 2008 12:00:45 PM
This was for a swap but my partner had a baby and is MIA. Many months have passed so I figured it was safe to post the pictures of my item sent. I haven't glazed since I was in middle school.

I need practice but I'm still rather happy with the shading I attempted. Although I made a boo-boo on a color in the background.
