I didn't think me and my husband would ever smoke outside, mainly because I didn't expect him to change his habits for me.  I figured it would hurt my business and was all worked up, and now it's not even an issue.  We have decided it's best to smoke outside, and my husband doesn't seem to mind a bit.  I know that I need to wash all my fabric and supplies to get the old smoke out of them, and I've been airing out the house, but what else should I do?  How long should I wait before taking the smoking household warning off of my shop?  Has anybody else made this transition or have any pointers?  Thanks for reading, and any advice is appreciated!

Hey!  I have recently been raiding the old toy room at my parents house for stuff to turn into jewelry.  My mom didn't mind cause she's been trying to clean out that room for years.  I LOVE earrings, the stranger and bigger the better, so here's what I came up with.

That I have a shrinky dink addiction!  I promise not to post anymore shrinky dinks for a while.  In my opinion, these are my best yet and I had to share.

These are some birds I traced out of a coloring book.  I especially love the first one.

And this little guy is from a book I had growing up.  It was a counting book with these two bears, and I always felt bad for this one, Tuffy, because the other bear, Teddy, always had more stuff.  I thought it was kind of funny when, after tracing both bears, this one came out great, and the one with all the stuff curled up, stuck together, and was beyond repair.  I know that's bad, but Tuffy got his final revenge on Teddy.  Anyway, here he is:

I've had these little wooden hearts for a while, and had no idea what I'd do with them.  I was drilling holes in random things for some other jewelry and saw them.  So they became my new favorite necklace!  The beads are from a jewelry set my daughter had.  She ran out of cord before beads and let me have them.  Let me know what you think!

Hey!  My grandma gave me this dress years ago.  It was definitely outdated, and had a stain on the back.  I thought I'd never be able to do anything with it, but had to keep it because grandma gave it to me, and she is no longer with us.  She really inspired me to sew, and use what you have, so I think she'd be proud.  I'd love to know what you all think!  All comments welcome.

I know many people are turned off by the smell of smoke.  I don't have a problem with that, but me and my husband smoke, and also have cats.  I have added the info to my shop, but after many searches on the etsy boards I fear I have doomed myself to ruin.  I have already given up the dream of ever selling anything fabric, and only sell jewelry.  My question is, do any of you smoke and have a successful shop?  Would any of you buy from a shop that confesses to be a smoking home?  I know smoking is "bad" please don't post just to tell me how gross I am, or that I'll die from cancer!  I feel discouraged enough already.  Thanks.

This is a necklace and some earrings I made from shrinky dinks.  I had some glass beads that I love, and couldn't decide what to do with.  I was lying in bed looking at them (they were hung on the wall) because I couldn't sleep, and the idea just came to me to make a rain cloud necklace.  I'm really happy with the way it turned out.  The earrings are just made with a stencil I thought would be cute.  I used sharpies to color them in.   Let me know what you think!

I have been doing mostly shrinky dink jewelry until I saw some great beads at walmart.  Some were wooden, some were these beautiful moonstones, and I also got a bag full of turquoise colored plastic beads.  I have made six pieces so far, and still have beads left over!  These are the first I've done like this and would love some feedback.  Thanks for looking.  All comments are welcome.
