Hey!  My grandma gave me this dress years ago.  It was definitely outdated, and had a stain on the back.  I thought I'd never be able to do anything with it, but had to keep it because grandma gave it to me, and she is no longer with us.  She really inspired me to sew, and use what you have, so I think she'd be proud.  I'd love to know what you all think!  All comments welcome.

Hey!  I found these little monkeys in the bubble gum machine at the grocery store, and knew they had to be jewelry.  You should have seen me and my daughter, we put every quarter we had in there.   Unfortunately they sold out FAST and I didn't get all the ones I wanted, but these are still cute!  All comments are welcome and appreciated!

This is a necklace and some earrings I made from shrinky dinks.  I had some glass beads that I love, and couldn't decide what to do with.  I was lying in bed looking at them (they were hung on the wall) because I couldn't sleep, and the idea just came to me to make a rain cloud necklace.  I'm really happy with the way it turned out.  The earrings are just made with a stencil I thought would be cute.  I used sharpies to color them in.   Let me know what you think!

I have been doing mostly shrinky dink jewelry until I saw some great beads at walmart.  Some were wooden, some were these beautiful moonstones, and I also got a bag full of turquoise colored plastic beads.  I have made six pieces so far, and still have beads left over!  These are the first I've done like this and would love some feedback.  Thanks for looking.  All comments are welcome.

This is my first t-shirt recon, so I kinda did a little of everything.  I don't have a before pic, but it was just a pink t-shirt from Michaels.  I cut out the collar to make it off the shoulder, then made the straps from the bottom hem that I cut off.  I gathered it in the front so it fit better, did rouching (sp?) on both sides, and then used a heart stencil and spray painted it.  I did all the sewing with black thread to match the hearts.  I think it may be too much, but I really love it and would love to know what you all think!

I have finally gotten around to making some pocket diapers with gussets!  I dedicated every free moment today to working on them.  I only got one completed.   But I finished one the other day, and the rest are in the end stages.  Maybe they'll get done before my daughter outgrows them!   The gussets are great and really hold in all those messes.  I can't remember which pattern I used since I printed it out a while ago.  It was either the celtic cloths one or the mama bird.  I love it though!  Here's the pics.  I'd love to know what you all think!

Hey!  This is my first post in this section and have been so inspired by all of your creations!  Here's my first recon that I'm really happy with.  I made it from a men's dress shirt that was way to big.  I left the pocket (because I couldn't get it off) but think it makes it unique.  It looks really crooked on the too big dress form, but it looks great in real life.  I'd love to know what you all think.  Thanks for looking!

I finally got some shrinky dinks!  I didn't even know they still made them until I saw them on here.  These are my first ones and I am so addicted now.  They're not perfect, but I'm happy with them.  Let me know what you think!

I did this one with colored pencil, you can see the pencil marks when you hold it to the light which bugs me.  Now I want some better pencils.  I like the design though.

While I was at the hardware store looking for small eye screws (which apparently exist only online) I saw these washers and knew they were meant to be earrings.  I made two different styles.  One has a bigger chain and one has a smaller with less of the washers.  I can't decide which I like better.  Let me know what you think!  Thanks for looking!

I'm not sure if this goes here.  This is a jewelry organizer made from an old record I melted holes in.  It took a while to melt all the holes, but I'm really happy with it.  I'm also gonna get some "s" hooks from the hardware store so I can hang necklaces on it too.
