1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / EASY sock knitting pattern?? on: October 10, 2008 02:44:46 PM
Hi, I'm a crocheter, but I am extremely interested in learning to knit socks. Is there an EASY pattern for basic socks out there that anyone recommends for a new knitter??

I can use any advise that I can get!

Thanks!

I made this for my friend Bubba back in February for her birthday (Yes, Bubba is her nickname). It didn't quite turn out how I had hoped, but thought I would share anyway...

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Divine Easter Hats on: March 21, 2008 09:43:05 PM

Im crocheting the girls Easter hats. Zoes sporting it here before I put the flowers on them. This hat was made with a modified version of the Divine Hat Pattern.

http://www.rheatheylia.com/index.php?page=patterns&id=0

I used Simply Soft yarn, an H hook so it would be smaller for my baby's head, and added a Reverse Single Crochet to the bottom of the hat. Other than that, I followed the pattern.

Here are all of the finished hats:

And Here the girlie's are wearing them:

For my older girls, I used the same method and yarn as I did for Zoe's hat. Jewell has a medium small head compared to the pattern, so I used an I hook to crochet hers, and Kristin, I followed the pattern with the K hook, but I added the reverse double crochet to the bottom. Smiley I love the divine hat pattern
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Winnie the Pooh Bear Hat for my Niece on: February 15, 2008 05:48:19 PM

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / the new hat collection on: January 02, 2008 01:56:16 PM
Here's several I've made over the holidays... Its an addiction LOL...

My pretty puffy slouchy hat (sorry its dark brown and not showing up that well in the pic), I'm now officially in LOVE with this hat... I heard other's mention their LOVE for this hat, and I now know why... LOVE IT!

I made some camo divine hats for my girlies... I had to modify it for my middle daughter, or else it would be too big... My oldest wanted a pom pom on hers, and my middle daughter wanted a flower on hers LOL...

Here's the flower one:

Here's the pompom one:

Here's a lil baby beret I made up... I tried gettin a pic of it, but my daughter kept ripping it off her head before I could. I did capture a back shot before she managed, tho:

Here's a mesh hat for my neice. I didn't have a small enough model for it, so I stuck it on my daughter's stuffed kitty's head LOL:

Welp, that's it for now. Smiley I did finally buy the pompom maker. I love it, but I'm still learning, so excuse the puney pompoms :-P
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / more crochet hats -- I can't stop my hat crocheting addiction! Someone HELP ME! on: December 21, 2007 09:30:38 PM
I'm so addicted to hats right now. I seem to be making tons of divine hats... I'm getting WAY faster at making them. I whipped this one up tonight in no time. My daughter was amazed how fast I finished it. (So was I, actually).

Here's the link to the divine hat pattern:

Here's my latest divine hat modeled by my daughter:

And, here's a couple of other hats I've made. They are kind of plain, and these weren't from a pattern, but more of my own design. I made the pink one just for experimentation, and the charcoal one for my step father for Christmas. Sorry no action shot there, I had to send it off in the mail...

Here they are:

Thanks for looking Smiley
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / its green -- Its slouchy -- it has a puffy pom -- its a rheatheylia cable hat on: December 17, 2007 02:24:52 PM
Well... I used this link for the cable hat tut:

http://www.rheatheylia.com/

and I was inspired by this hat from the movie Elf:

And I put two and two together, and I got this:

I'm not at all happy with the PomPom... I suck at them... If anyone has PomPom pointers, I'm more than happy to listen... Smiley

Thanks for looking Smiley
