Does anyone have a good recipe for a homemade shampoo bar for dreads? What ingredients would be necessary to make it residue free?

For shampoos, residue free is good, but DreadHead and KnottyBoy do not hold a monopoly on residue free shampoos. I personally love BabyMagic head and body wash. Some use dishsoap. Neutragena has a residue free shampoo. Even Suave has a Daily Clarifying shampoo that is residue free. All of those are fairly decent priced, and you can get them at Wal-Mart.
