1  Aprons... a lot of aprons in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by PandaShrew on: November 19, 2012 11:09:14 PM
At the start of this year was The Great Southern Slam derby tournament and I went over as a challenge bout skater, this meant I got to play three awesome games, dress like a loon and hang out with the greater part of Australia's derby community. An awesome weekend was had by all but my highlight was being asked to make the team uniform for one of our bouts "Your Mum" v "Baby Dolls" and to town I went with the aprons, we wanted black white and red (to look fearsome) and this is what I came up with. They took 120m of red bias binging, 40 hours of sewing, cutting and swearing but in the end we had 16 aprons and the best dressed challenge bout team in the tourney. Also, Quadzilla wore\kept one, squee!

Once the bout was finished, we each signed each others aprons and mine now lives in my box of derby treasures.

2  Wife face love in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by PandaShrew on: November 18, 2012 09:58:15 PM
I made these for my derby wife's, who I love dearly and as our season winds down and one is laid up crippled and the other works more than is good for her, I though they would be a nice reminder of each other when were not together.

The blue gem represents our league, Perth Roller Derby and the charm represents our respective home teams, Cherry's for the Bloody Sundaes and the Sugar Skull for the Mistresses of Mayhem.

3  Rumble Bees Team Pressie in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by PandaShrew on: November 02, 2012 04:57:12 AM
I made 15 of these jaunty tricorn hats for my roller derby league "B" team. They took hours and I got so many hot glue gun burns but we all looked awesome and they loved them.

My poor Jack was hit by a car tonight, the lady across the street saw it and came and got me but there was nothing I could do for him... I'm devastated, he was the most wonderful cat and my toddlers best friend. Were going to take him to the woods tomorrow. I don't know how to break it to our son, he was so upset when our other cat was at the vet, this will just crush him.

Sorry to offload on you guys.

My loot.....  Grin

Everything Together

The coasters, you have to click on the image. These rock, there in a fab lime green and are so well done, I have put them in my special things box so when we get back to Oz and I have a coffee table I can show them off.

Personalised diary, the little box says "This book contains all of Sam's most important appointments. Look I'm not saying you're not important if you are not In here, but you might take it as a sign." lol  Grin

Little handbag sized organiser.

The Foot, its a little purse. I have put all my needles (on there bit of felt) in it and it came with beads inside as well, this made me very happy  Grin. My new beads have a nice new home in my favorite beads box, where only my favorits go...  AND I have just been informed that the Foot glows in the dark, Wa wa wee wa how cool is that  Shocked

This made me laugh so much, its a box full of bandaids and antiseptic creams and burn cream for thouse times when "It's just a flesh wound" Ahahahahahahahahaha hahaha  Grin

All the bandaids and stuff, this also is being saved till we get back to Oz cos' I'm going to put it in my eventing box and everytime I come off or scrape myself along branches or crash into fences, I will bellow happily "ITS JUST A FLESH WOUND" and call for my little box.

Thank you so much Linda, you have been a great swap partner and thank you for all the fab MP stuff.
