Trying to get some life into this thread instead of posting a new one I guess. I just moved to Beaverton and looking for crafty things to do with some crafty people! ^_^ Please reply or PM me if there's meets around I don't know about!!
I JUST finished these. The Sgt. Frog slippers are for my husband and the Totoro ones are for me! I didn't use a pattern for the Sgt. Frog ones but I did kinda for Totoro. I looked at the Happy Hooker Fuzzy Bunny Slippers but the pattern was super confusing and it came out all crazy but I improvised. The Sgt. Frog ones I made up because I couldn't find anything for men's sizes. I redid them 3 times but I think they came out really good. I wanted to share them because I'm so proud and exhausted after making them! Thanks for looking!
Hello everyone! I'm fairly new to knitting. I'm a crocheter first. I just fell in love with knitting. It seems that circular needles are all the rage, and I keep hearing about how great they are. I got some to practice with, they're 29" in length. What I want to ask is if the plastic cord on all the kinds are as stiff as the clover brand? I felt so frustrated with them constantly curling! Does this go away with use? How does everyone control that? Also, can magic loop only be done on longer than 29"? I tried to do it and of course I was already having issues with the cord before I tried that as well. I've been searching online everywhere for info but am not seeing this problem so maybe I'm doing something wrong.
I need some advice because I've been turned off to circular needles and I don't want to be, but so far no luck! Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Thanks for all the advice! It's nice to know I'm not the only one not diggin' the circulars. I think I will wait on them for interchangeable ones in the future. I'm going to just get some DPNs for the time being.
To make them bigger for my husband I increased the number of stitches on the chain for the bottom of the slippers and then increased the number of rounds.
crazy4bags camera isn't working right now, so she asked me to post pics for her of what I sent her!
Here's everything together: I made her a bag with a hand embroidered Buffy B! I also made a matching wristlet for keys with little vampire inspired clay charms.
This is a little felt pin "a stake to the heart!"
Scythe! I wanted to make one but had no idea what to do with it, so it doubles as an ornament or bookmark!
crazy4bags I hope you liked everything as much as I had fun making it!
patiently waiting for my package. Ok maybe not so patiently. I love everything so far. Glass Willow is AWESOME I love the shoes too. Great work everyone!!
I hope you get it soon!!
Ohh the glasswork is amazing! There are so many things I never thought you could make with a buffy theme!
I made this little pikachu pouch for a Kawaii/Sanrio swap that I just was in. My swap partner loved him and now that she has him I can post pics here!
My own pattern. I just used single crochet with a H and G hook. He has a felt face and embroidery floss. What do you guys think?! ^_^ I was so proud of him, he's a usable amigurui! I've been on this thing where I want to try to turn everything into a crochet pouch...I dunno, it's a challege I guess. I should make a little purse sized one with a strap!
