1  Upcycled Wooden Bead Necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by ironik on: July 13, 2010 01:51:41 AM

I usually keep the beads of my old necklaces, in case I reuse them. This time I had lots of wooden beads of different size and color. First, I colored the big ones with my nail enamels. I used toothpick to make it easy.

It took nearly 10 mins to dry, no need to varnish again Smiley

Then, I used my little beads in their natural color to make a simple but elegant necklace.

2  Sunshine socks (2 needles) pattern added with pics! in Knitting: Completed Projects by ironik on: September 03, 2009 07:47:55 AM

With what's left from my sunshine bolero, I knitted a sock using two needles. I tried to write a pattern for it, and as it's my first attempt in English, I hope I'm successful in that.
Code:
st. stitches
k-knit
p-purl
yo- yarn over

Beginning: cast on 16 st.
row1 and wrong sides- purl

row2: k4, yo,k1, yo, k6,yo,k1,yo,k4
row4: k4, yo,k1, yo, k10,yo,k1,yo,k4
row6: k4, yo,k1, yo, k14,yo,k1,yo,k4

knit  until toe part is over (my shoe size is 38 (Europe, 7,5 US) and I knitted until there is 48 st in total.
then stop yo. knit until your heel. you may add cables on the front, etc if you like.

heel part: k11. turn and p11
   k10. turn and p10
   k9. turn and p9
   k8. turn and p8
   k7. turn and p7
   k6. turn and p6
   k5. turn and p5
   k to the end
   p11 turn and k11
   p10 turn and k10
   p9 turn and k9
   p8 turn and k8
   p7 turn and k7
   p6 turn and k6
   p5 turn and k5
   p to the end
foot part is over! knit as long as you want until the ankle part
after the ankle part, k1 p1 k1 p1.. as long as you want you sock to be.

after finishing knitting, leave a little yarn and sew with the yarn needle
that's it! And don't forget to knit the second =D I finished first in a day, and the second, like in 2 weeks! So I'm serious in that Smiley

I hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think, if there's anything you'd like to add etc.

6  dealing with papers lately.. in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by ironik on: April 13, 2009 12:41:28 PM
Recently I've finished two little paper projects  Grin
First one is covering an old tea box. I covered this box with scrapbooking papers I found here ( http://summertimedesigns.blogspot.com/2009/03/sweet-springtime-kit.html ). I loved the paper and the little bird, especially. It was an easy, untiring job but the result was very satisfying Smiley I think I will never drop such boxes again! It looks very stylish and decorative with these scrapbooking papers.

The second project was very enjoyable and satisfying, too. I made a frame for a photo of me and my family out of old magazines. I found Rolled Magazine Project here ( http://www.homemadesimple.com/en_US/homemavens.do?contentId=sep08 ) and what I can say about rolling plus these info is that it is important to create similar rolls. You can do this with the help of a pencil. And don't roll from the edges, roll from the corners so that they will be very colorful.

Thanks for looking  Grin

Valentine's day is coming close, everywhere is filled up with heart-valentine theme objects and patterns, but I haven't got a boyfriend!

So when I was surfing I found this sweet heart pattern, I should give it a try. And since I haven't got a boyfriend, my heart could be sleeping  Grin

That's my little sleeping heart. What do you think?

It gets thicker and thinner..  I started to knit to see the result, but wasn't very satisfied with it. Here is the photo of the yarn with my try. What do you think? What should I do with this yarn?

10  little neat purple purse in Crochet: Completed Projects by ironik on: November 28, 2008 12:57:19 PM
I made this little cute purse for a friend, on whose birthday I felt ashamed because I didn't get her a present. I hope she likes this little present. What do you think?

(Since I took the pictures at night without natural light, colors don't look as bright as they really are)
