cardiganweather! - You are so sweet and kind! Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness in featuring my shoes on your blog - I am so touched!
Your blog is really lovely, and I shall be over there soon looking at all the great inspirations you have found (and drool at your delicious baked goods!).
ethertree - Frog bellies?! hahah that sounds really funny and it wound be quite interesting to see. I would love to see your cactus plant with Kix rice puffs...you will have to share! Your future is really green..especially with your creativity with the plants!
olive_juice - Thank you so much for your kind words! I bought the plant already sprouted for only $2 (I am not patient enough for seeds), and then I placed a layer of pebbles on the bottom of the shell for drainage (about 1" of small pebbles), and then simply put the plant in, along with filler dirt. If you scope out the small plants that the nurseries have (under $3 is a good bet that it will fit..hehe), then generally you can find one that has the right size for a big shell.
hannabear - Thank you for your lovely comment! I really enjoy looking at the shell (it is on the table by my reading chair), as it is very relaxing...it is very easy to make and maintain....would love to see pics of when you try it!
