Yes it could very well be made reversable.

When I finish the prayer flag swap i will make a eversable monks bag with pockets.

 I went to an outdoor festival and all I could think was how much I wanted a small, little take around purse for just such an occasion. With craftshow season gearing up I need to make myself a little tote soon!

Hax- great idea with the rivets.   The envelope style adds visual interest.  I love the color blocking on the purse you previously did.
Diesels_Mom, Your purse is great.  Glad you were able to get your water heater up and going again.  One of those items of life that I don't even consider a luxury- just a fact of life.  Until you don't have it and then I remember lots of people don't have water heaters and indoor plumbing.  I sew fabric menstrual pads for Days for Girls- a charity that supplies teen girls in third world countries reusable kits so they can keep going to school during their cycle-  Washing and drying is all done by hand and even hanging their items out to dry can be problematic and difficult.  Thank goodness for the modern conveniences we have. 

That sounds like a worthwhile cause, do you have a link? Maybe I can contribute some sewing or even fabric. i have tons of flannel left over from sewing my Grandsons layette.

Cute purse!  Looks like it would be a great purse for the 4th of July and other patriotic holidays!

Also, just love the closure on the clutch...it is a different way to keep the envelope part closed...have to put that in my "good ideas" book!

Your purses are great , and the rivets what are they?

Yeah, I like it..  I have to secure with rivets as my machine couldn't handle sewing it on.. (there two layers of a cardstock like paper)

This is a purse I did with same idea.  (My own design/pattern Done in Feb) I like the shape of the flap better than the envelope one as it seems to hold better in the band.

After the plumbers came and gave me a new water heater and install quote of a thousand dollars, my son thought he was gonna have to restart my heart with jumper cables, I lost my sewing vibe. Luckily I have a buddy who occasionally dabbles ni home repair he was able to do it for 550.00 and a pan of lasagna. Having no hot water with a four month old baby and I am alos a germaphobe is a nightmare! How do people live without plumbing?
