1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Spring has sprung Pullip/Dal/Taeyang swap on: March 24, 2008 06:43:21 PM
Anyone up for another round of crafting goodness for our wonderful dolls?
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Pullip Valentine/spring swap? on: January 07, 2008 09:04:13 PM
I know, spring is still far off, but I thought it might be a little late for a Valentine Swap (though it does have me wanting to make cute sexy underthings for my girls...)

But we're at the end of our winter Swap, so I was wondering if anyone wanted to give it a go?
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Another Pullip/Blythe swap? on: November 27, 2007 12:31:45 PM
I'm just asking about interest, because I've got my first Pullip on the way... and I blame the Blythe/Pullip swaps for hooking me.

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / I CAN CABLE on: October 14, 2007 06:51:04 PM
After trying to teach myself FIVE times,

I FINALLY figured it out.

Heck yes.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Teal/Chocolate scarf on: October 01, 2007 07:31:38 PM

This was my first finished scarf.  I'm really proud of finishing it, but I wish I would have made it about half as wide as it is.

The teal is Red Heart Super Saver.  The brown is Caron Simply Soft (which knots like whoa)

Knitted on US size 8 needles.

I even added a little pattern on each third of the scarf to spice things up!

...Yay!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My first ever FO on: October 01, 2007 07:22:04 PM

This... thing... was my first ever FO.  I've started many a scarf before, but this was the first thing I ever finished.  And it's a long story...

So... My friend Kira has... interesting tastes in clothing.  Most of her wardrobe was either self-made or reconstructed.  (Which is never really a bad thing)

She saw me knitting a scarf, and immediately told me to put down the scarf and make her a shirt.  So I did.
The colors are for our sorority colors.  The design is purely Shakira.

...The thing also has the unexpected ability to magnify whatever it's stretched over.  ...In this case my chest.   This caused several of my other friends to request one.

The specs, if anyone *really* wants to know

Yarn:  el Cheapo Red Heart Super Saver in...purple?
Lion Brand Fun Fur in... some sort of baby duck yellow.

Needles:  Size US 13 circs.

The halter strap and ties in the back (yes, it ties in the back) are braided.  If I ever make another, I would make sturdier straps.

7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / The incredible edible swap! on: September 25, 2007 07:15:38 PM
Not sure if this has been done before, as I am a total n00b, but who doesn't like getting cookies/brownies/etc.?  Or just swapping recipes/cooking(baking, whatever) paraphenalia.

Yes?  No?  Get off the stage?
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / simple t-shirt recon on: September 19, 2007 01:24:13 PM
This was my first t-shirt surgery.  I just sort of did it on a whim, because I'd had the shirt for years, and never wore it.

Follow the butterflies!

It looks a little rediculous on the floor, and please excuse the paint all over the bottom.  All I did was take in the sides, from the base of the sleeve to the bottom stitching, so it has a snug waistline and enough room to accomodate the hips.   Grin

Follow the butterflies! (again...)

And that's a horrible pic of it on me.  but you can see that it's no longer a baggy, shapeless mess, and that's the point.
