302  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: simple t-shirt recon on: September 19, 2007 05:39:55 PM
I was tempted to fix the sleeves until I first put it on, and then I realized how much I liked the huge baggy sleeves as they were.  I'm thinking I'd fix them on the next shirt I do.

...and I think they look a little cooler when I'm not the one taking the picture.   Cheesy   But that's just me needing to find someone else willing to take endless photos of me.
303  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Wings on my Back on: September 19, 2007 03:22:16 PM
That is absolutely lovely.

It makes me wish I could cable.

I may have to try and teach myself.  Again.

Having said that, I must tell you that you have done astoundingly beautiful work.
304  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Pink Lace Trimmed Sweater (2 images) on: September 19, 2007 03:18:55 PM
That is absolutely beautiful!

I can't even imagine how creative I'd have to be to draft my own pattern for something like that.

This was my first t-shirt surgery.  I just sort of did it on a whim, because I'd had the shirt for years, and never wore it.

Follow the butterflies!

It looks a little rediculous on the floor, and please excuse the paint all over the bottom.  All I did was take in the sides, from the base of the sleeve to the bottom stitching, so it has a snug waistline and enough room to accomodate the hips.   Grin

Follow the butterflies! (again...)

And that's a horrible pic of it on me.  but you can see that it's no longer a baggy, shapeless mess, and that's the point.
