For my birthday, my Mother in Law sent me a huge pack of coordinating fat quarters. It was a very nice gift but the fabric choices were, lets just say, not my tastes. So I made a quilt top out of them, and she said she really liked how it turned out. So my question is; would it be rude or ungreatful to give the finished quilt to her as a gift? What do you guys think?

Just wondered what everyone was planning. Im thinking about just doing a t-shirt dress for my daughter but I'll also have a newborn boy then so something for him too! What are you making?

Okay so to make a short story long   we are going to the Peter Pan Treasure Hunt in Kensington Gardens in London this weekend and I thought it would be cute for my little girl to dress up. So I made this outfit but Im not sure about it. I want your guys' opinions, do you think its boring? I wanted it to be true to the character, but now Im afraid its kinda plain. Her hair will be done up in a bun with a side part and she'll be wearing black ballet flats, (because she wont let me paint them green! lol) Oh and Im going to put jingle bells on her somewhere so she makes the Tinkerbell sound too. What do you think?

I just learned that there was such a thing and now I've decided I cant live without it! But upon looking for one to buy I found that there's a choice between low shank and high shank. Anyone know which type I need? Also I have a Singer machine, does the foot need to be brand specific? Thank you for any help.

I know this seems like a silly question but my little girls is having a My Little Pony themed birthday and asked me to make her a dress. (Yay! ) I thought Id ask on here and maybe someone would remember seeing some there or something. I only ask because the nearest Joann's is over an hour away so I hate to waste a trip down there...not that I wouldnt find something to buy, but thats another story! 

Ugh, apparently I'm running low on caffeine and just screwed up my zipper. It started out as a a zip for "Dress Plackets", much like this one-



See that little metal stopper at the top there? Yeah I cut it off. -Not really sure what the hell I thought was going to happen but let me reiterate the lack of caffeine.   So now I have it all sewed into the dress and naturally it is the prettiest zipper Ive ever done   so I really dont want to take it out! Does anyone know if I can fashion a stop somehow? Thanks in advance for any help. Now Im off to make some coffee...

I love the colors but Im not crazy about the actual purse because it stretches too much when loaded up with junk.    Im not sure if its the stitch I used or if its because I didnt know you are supposed to go through both the front and back loops. Oops.  Oh well, here it is.

Im trying my first non-scarf/hat crochet project, the Knot Ugly Shrug from Stitch and Bitch. (Yay! ) After the 11th row it says "drop loop to be picked up later", so I assume that means just take the loop off the hook and leave it, my question is do I cut the yarn, or should i have another skien?  I really do hate patterns.
