1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / son's Easter outfit-Simplicity 4243 on: March 17, 2008 07:12:59 PM
This is the first pattern I've sewn with no help from my mom-so I am WAY proud.  Plus I love this fabric!

Please excuse the crazy leg part, once I finish posting this, I'm going to sew the snap tape in.  Smiley

Detail of the pleats-my flash died or something on this pic.

I'm going to buy a white collared onesie (because the sleeves from the pattern completely mistified me so I went sleeveless) and I'm halfway through making matching shoes so action shots will come sometime next week.

Oh and here's the adorable baby who will be wearing said outfit-

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Thanksgiving baby legs (2 months too late) on: January 17, 2008 12:40:27 PM
I whipped these up to match my son's Thanksgiving onesie and now I can't stop making them!  They're SOO easy!  Even my 3 year old niece wants some (I've got 3 pairs of socks waiting to be redone for her).  Anyways, I know it's been done but I had to share, especially cause I love my little boy's expression!

3  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / getting a company logo off wine glass on: December 17, 2007 02:16:13 PM
My boss gave me some free wine glasses but they have a company logo on them (painted?  I'm not sure).  What's something I could use to get the logo off without damaging the glass?  I'd like to eventually paint my own design on them.  Thanks so much!!
4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Kenmore Mini Ultra manual?? on: October 15, 2007 03:36:42 PM
Does anyone have a manual for this machine?  I'm borrowing it from my aunt until mine gets fixed and she lost the manual (plus we didn't have time for her to show me how to use it so I'm totally lost).  I need help threading it and making sure the bobbin is in correctly.  If anyone knows where one is online or if you're willing to send me scans of your own, I would love you forever!  I've got stuff I've got to get sewn before this Saturday!  Smiley
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / help with holiday party invitations on: October 11, 2007 08:59:32 AM
I've got to design and print holiday party invitations for my work's office party.  I found a card on tinyprints.com that I'd like to copy.  I'm probably going to make it up in Photoshop but I can't find a brush that looks like what's on the card.  Here's the card-

The description says winterberry and I've googled it and even tried to find an image I could make a brush out of but no luck.  So I'm hoping some of you craftsters can help me out!!  Thanks!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / inspired by the loukr noelle tutorial... on: October 09, 2007 04:58:05 AM
I just started sewing in the last month and for some unknown reason, decided to try and make the noelle dress from loukr's tutorial (found in the tutorial list post).  Why oh why didn't I just try and make a pillowcase or something quick and easy, I'll never know.  My stitchings wonky and my elastic got twisted but I don't care-it's more wearable than I thought it would be.  Smiley

Used to be 3 XL shirts from Michael's (gotta remember to take before pics!).
