Hmm.. it needs something.  To me, it looks like the leg that is showing is her right leg (far leg)... I'd kind of like to see the left leg curled underneath the right one... the knee pointing to us, and the boot under her right leg.... but then her undies would show if you were standing at the frame.... maybe her leg straight out would work, but it would be too far for her knee to bend over the edge of the step... so maybe the leg that shows should be the left leg and her right thigh could show in behind and her right lower leg would be hanging over the far side of whatever she's sitting on (and we wouldn't be able to see it... just her thigh and knee)... you'd hav eto be careful she doesnt' end up looking like she's only got half a leg.
You're right! I really like the idea of her left leg being curled under, I think I might be able to make that work!  thanks!!:D
Glad I could help... make sure you post here when you're done and share the final result!  I can't wait to see what you do.
alright, so I tried the leg curled under thing and I can NOT get it to look like it's in front of the other!  I'll keep trying, but I might try to add the other boot in like I failed to do the first time Tongue

I love them.  They have a great, loose quality to them.  Did you draw from photos or imagination?  I can draw from life/photos ok, but drawing from my imagination still trips me up.
I drew them loosely from photos, I have a hard time doing from imagination as well.  I can do it if it's someone sitting in front of me or a photo, but not my mind.  I wish I could, though

I agree -- I like the third one... looks very... um, "portrait" if that makes sense.  I think the last one is awesome, too.  You're right... there's something not quite right with the second one (I think it's mostly the unnatural posture... and maybe the proportioning is a bit off) -- but her shirt did turn out great!  The first one shows a knack for texture and fabrics, for sure -- I like the simplicity fo teh background... in fact, I think it would be cool to make an  even more distinct difference in style... then, you subject would really stand out.  I can't help but wonder, however... where's her other leg?
wow, thanks for the great reply! Cheesy  on the second one, I think I screwed it up by thinking her arm was too short (which it probably was/is) and to try to make up for that, I shortened her skirt and made her legs shorter.  Bad idea, hahaha
aaagh, her leg.  Well I drew this off of a picture, and in the picture her other leg didn't show.  However, there you could see some of the other boot in it.  I tried to get the boot in, but I couldn't get it so you could distinguish it from the other boot, so it just looked like the boot was lumpy.  Maybe I should put it in anyways?

these are not serious drawings, rather than sit down and do them, I did them idly while watching TV or listening to music.  Soooo, without further ado...

^I like this one, though I didn't give much effort with the background, haha

^this one...not so much.  I actually somewhat dislike it, though I like how her shirt turned out!

^this one makes me laugh...I think it looks like her face is melting! teehee...I swear she had a funny expression in the picture? Tongue

^perhaps my favorite.  I don't really have much to say about it, though, except that it's blurry Sad
Thanks for looking!! Smiley  Any comments/critiques are very welcome (though I didn't try for photorealism in these...but that makes it sound like I don't want critiques!  I do! haha)

that's awesome!!  Are those actually kneaded rubber erasers?  If they are, don't they collect a lot of hair and dust and stuff?  You should post your drawings on craftster Cheesy
