1  Re: Fill-a-Box 9 Supply Stash Buster Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by nerdlover on: September 14, 2008 01:48:15 PM
Here is what I received from lexie123 -

There is:
a craft carrying bag (love this! so many things fit inside. will be great on all the business trips I have planned this month)
smiley face paper
scrapbook mat stacks (3 of them...I love not having to cut my mats for my photos)
4 scrapbook scissors (they cut pretty designs)
1 star punch (I actually didn't have the small version of this one! yay)
2 spools of ribbon
box of photo corners
scrapbook stitching thread
2 packs of rubons for scrapbooking
felt crowns
felt cupcakes (omgosh cutness)
making memories tool kit (some pieces in here I really needed)
3 baggies of beads
1 big and 1 small ball of yarn (I actually was in need of a offwhite yarn, perfect timing)
bunch of glass pebbles
bunch of fabric (the pick one is a sheer fabric with very pretty embroidery)

Thanks again lexie! I love all of it & I am excited to start using them.

2  Super Stealthy in Stenciling: Completed Projects by nerdlover on: August 29, 2008 01:35:47 PM
This is my 3rd time doing a freezer paper stencil and I am falling more & more in love with the technique.

I love ninjas! After getting several shirts during a twofer deal at Michael's I googled ninja images and fell in love with this one. She came out super cute!

Ignore the wrinkles, they are from the sheet underneath.

She looks wet, but it is just the camera flash.

I wore it today and a couple people have complimented me on the shirt. I loved telling them that I did the stencil!

3  Travel Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by nerdlover on: April 14, 2008 11:25:37 AM
So, I had a nice long weekend. My usual distraction was out of town, so I had to keep myself busy for once - crafting was involved.

Lookie at the purty new bag!!

I love it. I used this (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=178244.0) pattern. This is my second attempt as this tutorial, but I didn't include the zipper before. I also went a bit more light on pleating this time and increased the size. I wanted a more duffel bag sort of feel.

My cellphone fits perfectly in the handy pockets.

And the inside is nice & roomy. The lining and outside fabric (with the print) is actually brown and white...even though it seems a bit more black in the pictures (trust me - it is a very deep brown). If I do this pattern again I am going to add inside pockets.

4  Chocolate crochet hook roll in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by nerdlover on: February 12, 2008 05:45:35 PM
I made this for my mother-in-law's growing hook collection.

All rolled up

There is a funky crease in the picture...it doesn't normally look that way...musta rolled it weird

Unrolled

I wish I had made the top flap a bit bigger and used a brown button so it stood out more. Nex time!

5  Pleated Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by nerdlover on: February 12, 2008 05:41:00 PM
I made this bag from applesaregreen tutorial for my mother-in-law's crochet projects. I didn't do a zipper, because I am still afraid of them  Tongue

I like how it turned out, but the next one I am definatly putting in a zipper and I am going to add interfacing.

looks a little wonky here, but it isn't like that

the insides

I think not having a zipper made the shape a bit odd.

8  Evil Pillowcase in Needlework: Completed Projects by nerdlover on: January 24, 2008 08:31:49 PM
I made this for my hubby for x-mas. Finally got around to posting it. Sorry about the crappy photos...it has been raining in South Cali for over 4 days (we even got hail today)!

Both of them together

His name is Joey

Close up of the horns - this one got really washed out...and you can see some of the markings where I adjusted the way I wanted to sew (they will wash out)

Evil one - this one got washed out also

Close up of a skull

Everything was pretty much done in a backstich. I marked the design directly onto the pillowcases and followed along altering where I thought I needed to. I didn't want everything to be perfectly even on both sides and think I accomplished that  Tongue

Let me know what you think! He seemed to like them
