Upon finishing my master's degree, I really had to reward myself with something I had wanted to do for a long, long time! The very next day after my thesis defense, I taught myself to crochet rag rugs with old sheets/old fabric
I love making these now. I don't know if I am doing it exactly right, but I think I like the way they look. Some crochet in the round pieces i have seen looks much better the way it starts out in the center with a spiral or a hole in the middle, does that make sense? Mine doesn't do that, but oh well
I made the first one for my bathroom in blues and yellows and greens. Second one was made for my parent's bath in sage green and plum and lavender. Third one was for my man in all sorts of colors from scraps from quilting and previous rag rug strips! Lovin' it! I'm currently working on one in red and pink and turquoise for my kitchen.
